According to my subscription to PFF... He was rated 18th out of 39 for the 2021 season.

Ah, I hadn't looked in a while. Looks like he moved up a bit. Still not in the top half at his position, and we had a golden opportunity to really upgrade that position. Not sure what Tyler Smith upgrades.

I suppose the hope is bia is our starting center (too bad trav can't have a comeback story) and Smith is the big strong guy we didn't have the last few years with Connor Williams there.

I agree that he started off the season lower ranked... But the kid did seem to improve as the season went on. As I posted previously, I'm not saying he's a "top-5" center but I wouldn't be surprised if he was in the top-half of his position this coming season.

Granted they could probably have upgraded the position (some) but then you're still left with a hole at guard and what do you do with this guy?

I think a convincing argument can be made both ways.

I'm still befuddled by the Collins release. Linderbaum is the Fredrick replacement that we have been looking for.

they were not going to pay Collins 10 million in base. not even close to worth it.

There is nothing wrong with Biadasz. He's solid for a 1st year starter.

Fans complain about the culture, then complain when the team addresses it lol
Collins made dumb decisions and mailed it in when he returned
If you want to change the culture then you want guys with too much pride to mail it in

Because they are stupid and when a player hurts their feelings they will cut of their own nose to spite their face.

That's all getting rid of Collins and Cooper was about ....... Both players hurt the front office's feelings so the vengeful and spiteful sacks of crap got rid of them

So wait.... I bet youi have posts bashing the team for their crappy "Culture," right? Thats why they got rid of of Cooper and Collins in addition to the hefty money on cooper's deal.

So they rid a player that probably had the worst attitude on the team and also that attitude cost the team in as far as that clown missing many games, and now you slam the team for trying to improve the culture???

Ah, thats why I love this place.

I'm not looking at Linderbaum on paper and making a judgment.
Mark Stepnoski was also small and had short arms too.
But did Step " play" small ..?

This current Cowboys OL coach Philibin obviously likes Biadaz, and content with having him as starting center.
And may not seem pressed to upgrade and replace him.
DT’s were 270lbs back in the day, not todays behemoth’s.

We all hope. He's a big guy who apparently wasn't challenged much in the AAC. I'm just looking at what the OL looked like in April last year vs now, and it is not looking improved.

I don't have an issue with getting rid of some guys that have some issues....but I DO have a big issue ignoring Free Agency and starting the year off worse than the year prior.
