Yeah but don't we expect Pollard to get more touches next season? Need to cut back on Pollard on KR, violent collisions are a threat.

I don't think his touches will change that much. He was getting more this year than he would have because of Elliott's injury.

Juanyeh (pronounced wahn-YAY) was a three-time All-Florida pick at Niceville High School. He played in all 13 games his true freshman season (15 tackles, one interception returned for a score). Thomas tied for second in the FBS and tied the Tech record with two kickoff return touchdowns in 2018 (24-606-25.2), becoming the first Yellow Jacket to record that feat in back-to-back games. He started 11 of 12 games played as a sophomore (60 tackles, 2.5 for loss, one interception, three pass breakups; 7-149-21.3 kick returns) and then began all 10 games of the 2020 season (59 tackles, one interception, two pass breakups, two forced fumbles). Thomas was an honorable mention All-ACC pick in 2021, leading Tech with six pass breakups in 12 starts (81 tackles, four for loss with one sack, one interception, two forced fumbles). -- by Chad Reuter

Alec is the brother of former BC offensive lineman and 2019 first-round pick Chris Lindstrom Jr. (Atlanta Falcons) and the son of former Boston University and NFL defensive lineman Chris Lindstrom Sr. His father coached him at Shepherd Hill Regional High School, where he earned first-team all-state accolades. Lindstrom enrolled at Chestnut Hill in January 2017 but sat out the next fall with a medical redshirt. In 2018, he played in 11 games with one start at center while also snapping for field goal attempts throughout the year. Given the full-time job in the pivot as a sophomore, Lindstrom started all 13 games to earn third-team All-ACC honors. League coaches bumped him up to first-team status in 2020 after he started all 11 contests in the middle; he was a first-team pick again in 2021 and a finalist for the Rimington Trophy as the nation's top center for his play in 12 starts.

Name: Jaquarii Roberson
College: Wake Forest Number: 5
Height: 6-1 Weight: 186
Position: WR Pos2:
Class/Draft Year: Sr/2022
40 Low: 4.45 40 Time: 4.50 40 High: 4.55

Pros:
Leinweber: Lining up predominantly in the slot, Roberson displays strong hands to hang on to the ball through contact and when going to the ground. He tracks the ball well in the air and has good body control to make adjustments in the air. For a bigger receiver, Roberson has good ankle flexion and hip sink to get into breaks. After the catch, he has a knack for space, finding openings to run through and absorbing contact with his balance.

Cons:
Leinweber: A below-average straight-line athlete, Roberson lacks the speed required to threaten vertically. Bad explosiveness prevents him from maintaining separation as he is slow out of breaks and takes multiple steps to accelerate. He does not play to his size, having the timing of his routes thrown off when getting bumped. Roberson does not attack the ball aggressively in the air, failing to establish favorable positioning over defenders and allowing them to break up passes. His foot speed on releases is below average. As a blocker, he is not physical enough, looking disinterested at times.

Summary:
Leinweber: Strong-handed big slot who finds success after the catch with his vision and balance. Roberson lacks explosiveness and dynamism to create separation, almost exclusively winning in the air. He fails to live up to his size, not playing with the desired physicality. Roberson projects as a camp receiver with a shot at a practice squad if he can play more competitively. To make a roster, he has to show special teams ability as he will have a hard time finding a role on an offense given his athletic limitations.

"Drumm" was a first-team NJCAA All-American in 2018 (58-857-14.8, 11 TDs) and helped East Mississippi Community College win two national titles (he had 10 TD receptions in 2017) while he was there. The second-team All-Mississippi selection as a senior at Laurel High School decided to stay in-state when moving to the FBS, playing in all 12 games with nine starts for the Rebels in 2019 (13-188-14.5). Drummond started nine of 10 games in 2020, catching 25 passes for 417 yards (16.7 per rec.) and seven scores. He formed a strong rapport with star quarterback Matt Corral in 2021, leading the Rebels with 76 receptions, 1,028 receiving yards (13.5 per catch) and eight touchdowns in 12 starts. Drummond also returned nine punts for 84 yards (9.3 per return) during his career. -- by Chad Reuter

Hansford, a four-star recruit and first-team USA Today District of Columbia selection from St. John's College High School, considered committing to UCLA because of offensive coordinator Noel Mazzone. When Mazzone moved on to A&M to work with head coach Kevin Sumlin, Hansford took his game to College Station. He redshirted in 2016 after playing two games as a reserve tight end; he then played in seven games on offense the following season (3-39-13.0 receiving). An injury sidelined him in 2018 and Jimbo Fisher's coaches decided to move Hansford to linebacker. He started one of 13 appearances in 2019 (15 tackles, three for loss with two sacks, two pass breakups) and showed enough promise that he moved into a larger role when Anthony Hines opted out of the 2020 season due to COVID-19. Hansford posted 49 stops, seven for loss with three sacks in nine starts. He initially accepted an invite to the 2021 Senior Bowl but decided to return to school in the fall. He started all 12 games in 2021, leading the Aggies with 89 tackles, 8.5 for loss with two sacks while breaking up four passes. The team could not play in the TaxSlayer Gator Bowl due to COVID-19 issues on the squad. -- by Chad Reuter

HEIGHT: 6'4"

WEIGHT: 303

POSITIVES

— Adept zone run-blocker with solid initial quickness, pad level and use of hands to reach, cut-off and scoop shades, plus combo/climb with his guards to the second level.

— Does a good job releveraging his hands back inside the frame of defenders to stay attached to blocks.

— Runs his feet and gives consistent effort from snap to whistle to finish blocks.

— High football IQ and processing skills to sort through games, stunts and blitzes; has made all the protection calls since his freshman year in 2018.

— Plays with good balance and alertness in protection to slide, mirror and stay attached to movement across his face.

NEGATIVES

— Light in the pants with middling power to jar, torque and uproot bigger defenders when needed.

— Looks to have below-average arm length that, combined with being undersized, limits his ability to gain control and create displacement on nose tackles that win his chest.

Videos you might like
— Takes inconsistent angles on his climbs to the second level, getting too far upfield and allowing backers to run through the backdoor.

2021 STATISTICS

— Started seven games at center.

NOTES

— Former 3-star offensive and defensive line prospect out of American Fork high school in Utah.

— 41 career starts at center.

— Missed six games in 2021 primarily because of a leg injury suffered against Washington State.

OVERALL

Empey is a four-year starter inside BYU's zone-based run scheme with 41 career starts at center, making all the line calls and setting protections since his freshman season in 2018.

Empey has a smaller stature with middling girth and arm length, but he is a proficient, skilled run-blocker who plays with good leverage, pad level and balance. Empey shows an impressive understanding of how to work combo blocks with his guards, knowing how to fit on interior run-defenders to cover them up, overtake and release up to the second level. He has solid quickness to reach shades and strains through contact consistently, running his feet and reworking his hands to stay attached and finish when defenders attempt to disengage.

Empey's middling arm length and power limit his ability to generate immediate displacement when needed and to control bigger, hulking defensive tackles, pigeonholing him as a zone-only scheme fit. He also has an erratic hit rate at the second level because of inconsistent angles and average movement skills.

Overall, Empey is a proficient zone run-blocker with the football IQ to quarterback the pre-snap phase of the game. He lacks scheme or position versatility because of middling size and power, but his makeup and understanding of leverage is worth drafting for a backup role in a zone scheme.

DENNIS HOUSTON WR WESTERN ILLINOIS | NFL DRAFT PROFILE & SCOUTING REPORT
40 TIME: 4.52 SECONDS
HEIGHT: 6-2 WEIGHT: 205

Strengths
  • Does not possess top breakaway speed, though he's rarely caught from behind.
  • Has long arms to stiff-arm defensive backs in the open field. Willing to lower his pads to run through tackles for extra yardage. Goes over the middle, can spin out of tackles and take the big hit.
  • He catches the ball with his large, soft hands and is tough. Deceptive jets and a smooth route runner.
  • Often used on deep routes, getting separation down the sideline or over the middle on crossing routes by extending his arms rather than pure speed.
  • Very soft, natural hands to cleanly catch away from his frame. Concentration is excellent. Has the lateral agility and strength to get into and out of routes smoothly.
  • Goes up high for jump balls. Good flexibility and reach to snatch back-shoulder throws.
  • Has a knack for getting open and is a quarterback's best friend - passers just need to toss the ball in his area and he'll come down with it.
Weaknesses
  • Does not own elite speed. Freezes at times when trying to juke defenders in space. Walls off his man as a blocker, allowing them to shed and make the play outside.
  • Inconsistent high-pointing passes. Allows too many throws into his body when facing the quarterback.
  • Hands are good, not great. Will drop some easy balls and sometimes will body catch. Occasionally fails to high point.
Dennis Houston, Wide Receiver, Western Illinois

A small school player to make this list is Western Illinois wide receiver Dennis Houston. Houston had his way against Ball State finishing the day with 12 receptions for 237 yards and two touchdowns. His 237 receiving yards were the most of any player in either the FCS or FBS and also was a career-high.

While most NFL Draft fans have not heard of Houston he has established himself as one of the better receivers in the FCS. Last season, he led the Leathernecks in receptions and yards which earned him a spot on All-Missouri Valley Football Conference first team. He also had a strong 2019 season leading Western Illinois in receiving yards with 539 yards.

Even with these impressive numbers, it is doubtful that Houston gets drafted due to his lack of speed and overall athletic ability.

However, he will likely be brought in as a free agent for a couple of reasons. One of these being his consistent hands. He has made numerous tough catches during his career and has even been highlighted on ESPN for his impressive catch vs. Illinois in 2019.

Along with his reliable hands, Houston shows good body control. This ability allows him to maneuver around defensive backs and come away with the tough catch in traffic.

several of these guys have an excellent chance of making the roster because we are really thin at certain positions.

Hendershot redshirted his first year on campus after earning first-team All-Indiana honors at Tri-West High School, playing in four games with no catches before missing the rest of the season due to injury. He started 10 of 11 games in 2018 (15-163-10.9, two TDs) and was an honorable mention all-conference pick in 2019 after setting school records for tight ends with 52 receptions and 622 receiving yards while scoring four times. Hendershot was a third-team All-Big Ten Conference selection in 2020, starting all eight games and catching four touchdowns (23-151-6.6). The team captain was an honorable mention pick in 2021, pacing the Hoosiers with 46 receptions, 543 receiving yards (11.8 per) and four receiving scores in 12 starts.
