So many want to use 1996 as the cut off, as if this team never existed before then.
So let's say, a new cut off year. Start in 2021, 12-5, make the playoffs, so by your theory that is a good start to go on a playoff run. Have you read the comments about last season, I know you have.

This place would have been no different after this playoff losses in the late 60's, right up until the SB loss to the Colts. And I am pretty sure, there would been those hating about that.
Not to mention 3 straight NFCCG losses with Danny White at QB. Then nothing for 10 years. Could you imagine this place then.

Say you are me…or other 50 plus posters…and your fandom started on the 70s. You basically were in the midst of 20 straight winning seasons. It was always SB or bust. That’s a great expectation whether you fail or not. Besides some hiccups in the late 80s/early 90s you then have more success. So for someone like me born In 70 who is a football kid at 5-6 and remembers SBs with family then I have about 20 years of fandom with almost all having a SB or bust mentality.

So now I’m 52 and haven’t sniffed a NFCCG in 26 years and have 3 playoff wins. So you’re telling me no one is supposed to be disappointed or think maybe this team isn’t run right after 10 yrs Garrett etc.? Do you not see the dichotomy there. Your attack on disappointed fans is so baseless. I’ll be stunned if you ever make a legit football post.

Exactly! I’m here because I’m a fan. My fandom contains many eras and expectations. I’m not just going to quit a team because of failure but that failure needs to be held up to the mirror of past expectations, experiences snd eras.

I am not saying fans should not be disappointed, you are the one missing the point. Look at your own post as to ever making a legit football post.
That is one of the most dumbest things coming from you. I did not attack anyone, I was just making a comment about how fans would be from the past when Landry started, as well in the 80's when it went downhill.

We had one of the greatest teams in NFL history from 1992-1995.

The specific group of negative tone opinion regulators here do not consider context in any form. Most disregard any and all contributing factors in support of the post given.

As for me, my fanhood dates back to 74-75 so I can totally relate to your fan environment growing up and share in most everything you posted here. I appreciate it.
