On a completely personal level, Im very disappointed in what came out yesterday. There was 1 game I was really looking forward to out of all of them, and it was the Titans game. We have been to Nashville a few times and really have a great time there. Never been to a game there and it was the 1 on the schedule that I was locked into.

Thursday night game.... ok, no biggie. Done that it seems every time we play the Saints.... BUT, DEC 29????? really?

Gonna be freezing (my wife and the cold dont get along well at all) but New Years in Nashville? Anyone know what that is like? IM thinking not good.

Now, the game we've been waiting for is totally up in the air if we will even go. Screw you schedule makers. Always pimping the Cowboys for ratings.

I have not gone over it in much detail yet. But at 1st glance my only disappointment is we finish on the road once agin. This is like the 16 times since 2000 this has happened.
But not only that, it is once again, 2 games on the road to finish, and 3 of 4 on the road.

But overall the layout is not bad. Home game on Christmas Eve on a Saturday. Then 5 days instead of 4 days for a Thursday night game. Then 10 days before finishing at Washington. Which we should have the NFCE wrapped up by that game.
Also we don't have the TNF game the week after T-Day game. So none of that 3 games in 11 days crap.

Like I said... this game is now doubtful. Crappy weather and new years eve weekend....ugh. Not good.
I would think downtown Nashville, across the river from the Stadium, that area...... would be a complete zoo on NYE, but probably no worse than Bourbon St on a typical weekend.

One of the good parts of Nashville is being able to walk to everything from downtown... including the stadium, but that time of year you'll likely be uncomfortably cold. If the wife doesn't like that, I think you know the solution here.

I was there twice, once in September and once in early October. Weather was of course perfect but late December is obviously a different deal.

The good news is that, by my calculations anyway, if Tennessee and Dallas finish in the same slot in their respective divisions (both favorites to win them as of now), Dallas at Tennessee should be next years 17th game, and you've got another shot sooner than later.

One thing I really like about that 17th game is it affords the opportunity to play in places like Cleveland and Pittsburgh more often than once every eight years.

We were just in Nashville last month for my daughters 30th birthday. Perfect weather. Dec29... wont be so perfect.

I remember getting screwed like this back when I was able to attend more games so I know how you feel.

If anything was near Xmas no one was going to want to go.

Mondays kinda blew up weekend trips as well because it meant two days off of work.

Anyway, I think it's at least an 80% of shot Dallas at Tennessee next year so you won't have to wait eight years for another shot at Nashville.

Sorry it did not work out for your family.
I have seen only one Cowboys game in person in my 47 years of fandom.

The last game rarely matters, so finishing on the road gives you a more home-friendly schedule overall.

Probably right.

One thing that stood out to me overall is the home and road games seem to be in bunches more than usual.

Not sure if that's a factor one way or another, just an observation.

Well now I've got to ask which one that was.
Was hoping you would:
1987.
Drove 3 hours each way to Philly at the Vet without a ticket and got a nosebleed seat for 25.00 from a scalper.
Got to see the boys lose in the famous kneel down touchdown as Buddy ran up the score.
On the positive got to see Coach Landry, Too Tall, Randy White and Tony Dorsett play in person.

If the Cowboys or Titans had played overseas this year, this game would not have been scheduled for Amazon on this week. The schedulers only considered teams that did not go overseas

I am very fortunate. We go to about 3-4 a year now. I live in Ca, so the Rams game is a go. We do the home opener every year... and then we are looking at a 3rg game, but not sure where now. Maybe Jacksonville. Florida in Dec wont be too bad.
