That was why they had him ranked over the other two because it was team need specific. What's the worst that can happen? He doesn't work out at OT, he's still a very good OG candidate.
They picked Williams when he was an OT in the Big 12 with the idea of changing him to OG and it never really took. Hell, Smith was more powerful than Williams was as a pro at Tulsa last year.
Also, I don't think a lot of us recall the growing pains the other Smith had as a 20 year old when they drafted him in the 1st.
The whole OL thing gets skewed a little when we get a guy like Zack Martin showing up so ready to play. It's one thing that a rookie OL makes All Pro, it's something else when that hasn't happened since 1947. Sometimes, I take for granted just what an incredible player he is. But then again, he wasn't trying to name the OL the "Lard Butt Boyz".
