Should the Browns be concerned that this Dude has soft tissue issues?

Well

Well it's entirely possible he misses 2 seasons now.

The 23rd and 24th cases are still pending and he most likely won't play while that's going on.

Then the league will more than likely hand down a suspension once the league situation is done. That could easily be a full season. Maybe even a season and a half.

Plus he didn't play at all last season. So he may not see the field for 3+ years. That has to hurt the development and talent of a player to be away from game action for so long.

Why would the Browns want this headache for 2 or 2 and a half years. They made the move under the belief he'd only miss one season.
All true but they have to have known this already
Now I don’t think the league should suspend him or any other player until they are charged with a crime or found guilty of a civil suit
I believe in due process but obviously the league doesn’t since they have suspended lots of players never found guilty of anything including Zeke

They may just place him on the Commissioner Exempt List which is effectively paid leave for a player.

They should do this immediately.

Never should have traded 3 1st round picks for him to begin with.

Why should they do this immediately without knowing the truth.....smdh

Why this guy is not on Goodell's suspended list is beyond me. I know if he was a Cowboy or been traded to the Cowboys, he would not be qualified to train, practice or play at all. I realize everyone is innocent until proven guilty, but this is on a whole another level. And since when did it stop Goodell before? Zeke comes to mind obviously.

It can't be as simple as one more lawsuit filed to void millions.

Anyone can file a suit for anything at any moment.

And why in the world would the Browns look to renege on the deal? They haven't played a minute of football since. Nothing has changed.
Exactly, just so happens they waited until he signed that HUGE deal...come on now

The thing is....

It seems like Watsons lawyers weren't even aware of this one. So, if his lawyers didn't know then I'm sure the Browns didn't know either.

So, if he withheld information from the Browns that pertained to possible future things happening regarding more potential lawsuits they absolutely might be able to void his contract.

NFL investigation into this just concluded a couple of days ago, they should be making an announcement within days

Bro none had enough evidence and were dropped, innocent until proven guilty. You don't fund it suspicious that this last chick decided to say something NOW
You think all 24 people are lying?

I don't find it suspicious at all because the nature of what is being accused can have people come out and call them liars, gold diggers, and what not.

These types of attitudes is why it's hard for people to open up about these things.

Where there is smoke there is fire.

no he will get 1yr plus time served for his team sitting him all last year..i doubt a first offense gets 2 full years..he will get a full yr instead of possibly yr. 6 games ..

Browns were stupid to trade for him, especially at the cost they paid in picks and money.
And we thought our franchise was a train wreck.

How the heck do you trade for a guy with 23 sexual indecency/assault allegations against him, especially giving up 3 No. 1 picks?

No wonder Cleveland rarely contends for the Super Bowl.

They won’t
Done paid too much
These are civil cases
Unless he’s charged with a criminal offense they aren’t cutting him
Once you give that many picks you aren’t cutting the guy unless he is in prison

Knowing the desperation of the Browns, they'd likely let him play anyway if he could get a weekend furlough. ;)

I was being sarcastic
Most contract have clauses in them and especially those players who have had off field issues
But many here attacked Jerry for losing Gregory over the language
They certainly aren’t going to use the clause with him unless there are criminal charges at the least
They paid a crazy price to get him and they aren’t walking away from all those picks

I don't think Cowboys fans were upset because of the commonality of such clauses, as it relates to Gregory.
Rather, IIRC, the Cowboys failed to include it first, then tried to reinsert it after they discovered it wasn't in the contract he was to sign.
And when Gregory found out, he and his agent balked.
I would have done the same thing. If it were there in the beginning fine. But trying to reinsert it after I've read my contract and saw that it was NOT there, and I have options to go to a team that will pay me more money AND not include such a stipulation?
Hello, Denver!
