Serious Question: Is Dak better now than Romo in his prime?

Even Dak could win a Super Bowl in that time span.

I doubt that. Aikman was far more accurate and had a lightning quick release. He was also head and shoulders better than Dak at reading defenses.

Dak might have been able to win a playoff game or two with those teams but he never wins a super bowl, much less three of them. The only thing Dak has on Aikman is mobility, and even that is up for debate now.

Ok 12-5 sweeping a division is the same as 3-13-1 Lions having Dan Campbell rip out the water fountain at halftime going over the “cuckoos nest” ok I missed that memo ….
"Sweeping" the once feared NFCE now the epically worst ever.....I'm not bragging about that. What NCFE east team has gone more than one round that last...I dunno....5-6 years or so?

King of the worst is good enough for you. Got it.

Stats are still used to pay players, extend players to max contracts, they determine who is hired and fired, they are used to position teams in the playoffs, stats are used to pay bonuses and incentives, they are used to determine the depth chart, stats are used to determine draft positioning, and they are used to determine who's inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio.

So if stats are useless, tell me which part of the stat usage above is a lie....

If players get played on stats...then why do you hate the pay?

Dak has improved and what not but I think Romo was greater with less

No, his recognition is not there, and his ability to trust the play and the player is not there.

We don't hear all the talk in the locker room or in private texts, but I am certain there is frustration that Dak doesn't let the ball fly because he is overly conservative in situations.

He tries to avoid turnovers as much as possible, and his reflexive position is to not pull the trigger unless the player is visually open.

To be a winner in this league you have to throw the receiver open, not just wait for the receiver to become open. This is the hall mark of a great and Hall of Fame QB.

He has a bit more work to do in this regard.

Also he has more work to do learn how to beat strong coverage and zone coverage. He is very good at beating blitzes because the open man tends to present itself early and quickly and is prescribed by the play.

Not Romo yet.

charlie daniels was going to write a song about the devil going down to Dallas to challenge Dak in a throwing contest, but he realized it wouldn't turn out good since Dak has never beaten anyone in a throwing contest. sad but true.

"Stats are for losers."

Didn't say anything about useless. If it wasn't for stats, the loser fans would have nothing to comfort themselves.

I don't think I'll put you on the ignore list because I can't miss out on these emotional rants.

I'll just ignore you without actually "ignoring" you.

I won't be responding to you anymore. Only reading and laughing at you getting lost in your feels from now on.

And I'll continue exposing weak ones like you and your weak male companion co-signer who picks the lint off of your panty lining everytime you post your lies with poorly thought out rankings and comparisons that I can't even refer to as an opinion.

Atleast opinions are halfway well thought out. Once in a while, try to put some effort into attempting to seem like you actually watch football games. When you post with your BS you can't even back it up with actual facts, thats why your opinionated credibility is straight garbage.

Its amazing how weak and dumb your one or two cheerleaders here actually are loyal to back up a poster who has zero stats or real life facts like you to support your attempt at an actual opinion.

You and your minions really entertain me, but i kinda feel bad that im feasting on the cowardly weakness of 2 or 3 weak posters.

Well there are alot of losers in all of sports, because after every game, the coaches and players are handed STAT sheets to discuss what happened when confronted by the media.

In contract negotiations, the agents and general managers pull out STAT sheets to determine the players worth to the team while negotiating the contract or contract extension.

When games are played, the television sports analyst pull out STAT sheets to talk about players when plays are made and then the television graphics team put STATS on the screen to show what a player has done last week, last season, or his/her whole career.

So i don't know what to tell ya.... I guess the real losers are the weak ones who post about stats are for losers and ignore the fact that where there's sports... there will be stats... stats are apparently still important i guess.

But weak *** losers couldn't grasp the concept.... (wink, wink)

It depends on which group you fall under here.

There's the group whose opinions sound similar to Jimmy Johnson, Kurt Warner and Troy Aikman in their critical analysis of Dak's play with whom there is highly established credbility who would choose Romo over Dak.

And then there's the other group.

Seriously, are you ok? Why are you talking about throwing contest? Like that matters anywhere other than carnival games.

We are talking about things that happen on the actual football field on game days in here.

This makes me question the credibility of any post you like or cosign

Aren't you the same guy who was mocking people as internet tough guys hiding behind keyboards? You ever heard of psychological projection?

Glad to see you get the point about stats being for losers. Not sure why you're all worked up about it, though.

Agreed. And it's not like we never invested in defense. But when you use a high pick to draft something like Jaylon......well...you probably aren't building a solid D.

Too many reaches and projects. Like Jerry knows things the rest of the league can;t possibly fathom.:thumbdown:
Ya in 2018 I thought jaylon was a genius pick. Boy was I wrong and to think what we could have had . Oh well water under bridge

Are you picking guys from different teams? Those guys were never on the same team?

2016 was LOADED! Let's just admit that and move on.
So was 2014 both of whom failed on the defensive side of ball in playoffs. As did 2018 Rams shoved the ball down their throats by way of the run

Aikman could sit back, order a pizza, call his wife and side girlfriend, take a nap, and then find Irvin down the field. Again, there are maybe 2 other QBs in history that had a team Aikman did and when Aikman lost just a bit of talent, he looked like absolute junk.

Dude is overrated on here.

For all the guys who like box scores, here's some career stats-

QB Rating- 98.6 98.7
Comp%- 66.9 66.6
YPG- 260.7 259.8
Y/A- 7.7. 7.6
TD/Int- 2.45/1 2.86/1

One of those is Dak and the other is Kirk Cousins. I had no idea we had so many Kirk Cousins fans on this board.

Yep, very true.
They are basically the same QB, fans of other teams laugh at both in the knowledge that neither is good enough to win a Superbowl...yet some Dallas Cowboy "fans" seem to think Prescott is the next Peyton Manning :muttley::facepalm:.

It is truly mind boggling.

I am a Dak fan and I have to say Romo was better. More accurate and consistent passer. This isn't an indictment of Dak, it's an endorsement of Romo.

100% agree.

I'd say Dak is better than Romo in 2 areas:
1) Ability to take off and run (even though Dak didn't run much last season. Hoping that changes now that he's had a year to get his ankle back).
2) Decision making (Haven't checked the numbers but I'm pretty sure Dak has less INTs and fumbles than Romo).

All other attributes I'd say Romo was the better player. Not by much though.
