I'd prefer the owner/GM of my favorite football to focus more on building a contender and less on bringing big events to his area. If he wants to focus on those types of things then he should hire someone competent to run the football side of things.

Yup, what else is he supposed to say?!As a non-American who spent many years living in the United States, I grew to love both sports passionately. They are both amazing.
Jerry, the businessman, answered the question correctly, both economically and politacly. He did a great job being indirect but allowing the interviewer to deduce the obvious... More money is always better and a bigger market equals more money.
