Video: Cowboys GM Jerry making FIFA deals instead of NFL football moves

The World Cup is kinda a big deal. Its a huge coupe for Dallas and ATT stadium to land it.

The interesting thing for football is that ATT has to have a grass field to host. So, its possible that in 2026, the Cowboys will play on grass.

Jerry is no GM. He is a deal maker. The Dallas Cowboys don't have a GM.

He only won us 3 SBs and has kept us relevant....
True but any genuine success during his tenure was a very long time ago. I just wish, as do many others, that he would play to his strengths and run the business whilst employing a GM and coaches and let them do their jobs unimpeded.

A committee makes the bid for deals like this. Police escorts, hotels, restaurants, buses, entertainment for players all get looked at by the FIFA execs before they decide whose going to host the World Cup. They just asked Jerry if they can use his stadium. Jerry was not heavily involved in making this deal.

It's not as easy as many think....spoiled fans won't ever appreciate what he has done

Calm down many stadiums will get re purposed for this event as we dont have huge soccer fields all over to hold a world cup (pretty big sporting event like the biggest in the world)....JG is all the reason you need to hate on JJ the GM, this is a good event for the city and north Texas.

They would utilize Jerry World, and the Texans Stadium and possibly even the Alamodome in San Antonio. (but the outrage will be all on Jerry)
Weather permitting, even other outdoor venues. Cotten bowl, or some college stadiums.
All matches are not played at the same stadium as you are probably aware of anyway.
However I am sure Jerry wants the finals at his big house in Arlington. :muttley:
How much does someone want to bet...they WILL HAVE curtains if needed. :lmao2:

Maybe but Fifa teams are very use to playing outdoors so dont know if they will even care about curtains, and yes other stadiums will be used even others around the country...we just dont have big Soccer fields here that can hold 50k-60k people.

Therein lies the problem. As long as his ego is satisfied with the GM title and is making bank than all is good. Of course unless you are a Cowboys fan.
