You're the one whining. Heed your own words and mind your own business. Nothing worse than a hypocrite. Do as I say, not as I do.

You are whining saying I am whining. I just tell the truth.
So if you are calling me a hypocrite then look in the mirror.

Everyone always wants to see the productive part time player more and assumes they're better. However, when that happens it's rarely at the same pace or result.

Tony Pollard is a great change of pace runner, that I think the Cowboys should get additional touches for in the passing game. As far as if he's better than Zeke it depends what time period you're looking at. From a career perspective no Zeke is better, if you're talking right now Pollard is the more dynamic runner.

However, a Zeke/Pollard combo is better than either individually, the Cowboys just have to be smart with how I'm using each of them.

Oh, shut it already with that bunk. There have been times Zeke has missed his protection of Dak just as he has made his blocks. That's not the point though. He simply has not produced the past 2 years to equal his pay.

This season of 2022, Zeke will cost the Cowboys $18.22 million. That's a lot of money for an aging RB who clearly is wearing down and not producing the way he used to, especially commensurate to his pay. Zeke no longer is producing top 5 RB results, yet he's getting paid top 3 RB pay. The Cowboys are set to pay Zeke:

2023: $16.7 mil
2024: $14.3 mil
2025: $17.1 mil
2026: $16.6 mil

That's just crazy ridiculous money for a player no longer in his prime, much less incapable of producing top 5 RB results. The good thing is there is a potential out (Cowboys would take an $11.9 mil dead cap hit) in Zeke's contract after this year's 2022 season if the Cowboys decide to cut ties with Zeke if he is unwilling to take a pay cut and renegotiate a much cheaper new contract (which I doubt Zeke will want to).

The Cowboys come first over any player. It's most likely this will be Zeke's last year in Dallas. Sure it will sting and hurt if he decides to leave, but Zeke simply is not worth paying those exorbitant crazy yearly salaries I previously mentioned. Either jump on board and put the team first, or take the fall and criticism if you choose a player over the team. You choose.
Thank you for confirming you hate Zeke even if you are full of crap.

As down as I am on Zeke he’s still the better overall back. Dak would eventually get killed with Pollard in there most of the time having to block. He’s not consistent picking up the tough yards between the tackles. There’s going to be games where you have to be able to push the pile to move the chains and Pollard isn’t that type of back. He’s very good in the role he has.
Here's the required reading post!!!!!!!!!!

Very well done KJ.

To me it's a moot point. We need both, I'm not sure the game plan utilizes them and it's not putting games away enough to speak of. There were virtually no off-season moves and we had injury issues to both.
Well said.

Just about every player in the NFL is overpaid. Why does this bother so many people. It is not your money, and pretty much does not mean they can't keep or get other players because of a contract.
ALL teams are in the same boat. There was not any moves Dallas did or did not do because of the cap. We all knew 2 years ago it was going to be Cooper or Gallup, regardless of the cap situation.
Overpaid players keep you from making playoff runs. I mean, this is so obvious.

Cap hits affect our ability to make it to a super bowl in a huge way.

How so?

Wouldn't it be more coaching effecting it? Play calling from Garrett 2.0?

We have most of the players in place actually. Cap is not keeping them from getting any players. It is that they just do not want to pay big money for other teams casts offs.

I am not offended. And I have not been offensive.
Just find it funny how many get bent out of shape over something they can't control. And really does not have as big of an impact that they think it has.

But hey, if it makes you feel better, whine away.
Then why are you here talking about things you can't control?

Can't really judge that considering how different the workload was and how they are used, but I certainly think Pollard has earned a little larger share of the workload.

Yep 32 teams have overpaid players, 31 lose out from the SB every year. Only one team gets to claim they did it correctly each year.

so Aaron Rodgers is overpaid, and he then kept them from making a playoff run. He was one and done as well.
He has not been back to a SB in what, 12 years. Guess he has been over paid now for 12 years.

Trying to educate those that constantly talk about it, that it means nothing. :muttley:
I guess some just can't be educated. :lmao2:

Yes I know it is years of accumulated frustration of not getting to the NFCCG.

Now I know you're kidding.

Yes, the cap is keeping us from acquiring players. That's the way it works. It all matters, coaching, play calling, players acquired and kept, philosophy, toughness, team play, how the players fit together, positional effectiveness, scheme effectiveness. It all matters. And paying average players huge salaries matters a ton.

Hey, if you don't want to discuss salary, I get it, but why does it bother you when others do?

This doesn't make any sense either.

You might want to refrain from replying to posts re the salary cap.

It doesn't bother me. I am just commenting on it as all others do.

I mean, why do some have to bring up Dak or Zeke in every thread that doesn't apply? Are you dogging them as to why they comment on that when it is not needed?
I think that is a fair question.

You may want to refrain from replying to my posts then. Mine make perfect sense. Not my fault you do not understand them.

I think you just like trying to start arguments with me.

Exactly....he can take a hit and get those 3 to 4 yards up the center that hurt.

It's not pretty but the every down back role is a brutal one and a dying breed.

I like Pollard a lot and think he's got all kinds of big play material, but he can't handle the workload like zeke....

100 backs in the NFL that can dive up the middle and get 3 or 4 yards.
