No one liked to walk up to the Oline and see Larry Allen looking at them Donald would have been the same Allen would have stolen his lunch money and made him like it

I would take Larry in that matchup because he is every bit as quick and fast as Donald but 50 pounds heavier and much stronger. Larry dominated a lot of guys with Donald's level of ability. Several of them are already in the Hall of Fame.. but can be found on the business end of a Larry Allen pancake..

If you think Larry Allen is winning every battle then your kidding yourself. I think Allen generally handles him, but no doubt Donald has his moments.

you never watched LA in his prime. I have; at his best he makes Donald look ordinary.

Those that saw LA after his injury saw a shell of the player he was.

I think Larry Allen already played against the best in his prime .

Is Aaron Donald better than Reggie White.

I would actually like to see Larry Allen in his prime against Buck Buchanan in his prime better matchup in my opinion.

That said sure they would line Aaron Donald up in different positions but let the current Rams defense go against the cowboys '90s offensive line.
Donald would have no weak link to pick on and nowhere to hide Larry would wear him down and punk him like he did everyone else

In general I think offensive lineman tend to win more battles than they lose, unless they're really, really bad. That said, over the course of a full game, I'd give the nod to LA with AD having a few snaps where he gets the better of him.

Larry Allen faced John Randle who was a similar player to Aaron Donald. Randle won a couple but Allen pretty much controlled him. No one wanted to face Allen because his punch was so strong it rattled guys. My bet is if the two faced today (both in their prime), the Rams would move Donald around and run a bunch of stunts to get him faced up with someone else.

Aaron Donald will retire the most accomplished lineman ever. He's 31 and already considered by a lot to be the best DT ever.

You're underselling just how good Donald is.

For comparison, White was an 8 x all-pro in his 15 year career. Donald has been an all-pro 7x in his 8 year career (the only season he wasn't was his rookie season and he still made the pro bowl). Donald already has more DPOY awards than White.

Donald will retire the greatest defensive player ever with the only real competition being LT.

Then if he lined up on the BIG E side, he would get beat up.
