Somebody is designing all those plays where the center leaves the middle gap wide open to go help Zack friggin Martin as well as all those plays where the backside DE is left completely unblocked on purpose. To say nothing of all the plays where the tight end has to block the play side DE at the point of attack. If it's not the o-line coach then who should we blame for it?

Oline coach has NOT been the issue. The oline sucking has been the issue.

But some fans are like you. They are such hopeless homers that they blame everyone but the player themselves.

Poor Zeke, he just blindly gets lots of carries regardless of how poorly he plays. I hope you enjoy this last year of your hero stumbling into the middle of the line and falling into someone.

He will be gone after this season. Maybe you can follow him to the Raiders or something.

"Official" time...yes, Zeke was faster 4.47 to 4.52

But Pollard had a Pro Day time of 4.38
:omg:

Usually, you take Pro Days times and add at least 1/10 a second as they are almost always bogus
But after watching Pollard, it looks legit for a change

it was reported that Pollard was dealing with stomach aches but still tried to push through it anyway, en route to his 4.5 time.
But it was a difference story and 40 time at Pollards' Pro Day workouts.

Makes sense
He looks faster than 4.52, even a few years into his career when players often slow down

It's a different story for just about everybody's Pro Day workouts. When was the last time a guy ran SLOWER at his pro day? Pro Days are set up to make the player look good. I pretty much ignore them all. In reality none of these guys will ever be as fast as they were during the run up to the draft because they all pretty much quit sprint training to any degree the minute their names are called on draft day. Not that they won't be fast.. but they simply will never be as lean and finely tuned for speed as they were during that process. Some guys are exceptions and they keep training for speed throughout their careers. But most do not..

I thought you said something about not following me around the board... This seems like you do. In fact it smells a bit stalkerish to be honest. Do you also drive through Zeke's neighborhood and shout obscenities at him from your car?

So I guess the irony escapes you. You were the one that responded to a conversation I was having with someone else.

I can deal with another year of Zeke knowing that it will all be coming to an end after this season.

You on the other hand must be dreading not watching your hero fall down.

Anyone that isnt blind with love can clearly see that Pollard has more burst and speed then Zeke ever had.

Zeke runs into people.

Pollard runs by people, around people, through people, and over people.

I'm assuming you meant "Prime Zeke", sorry but I just dont see it - even last year when we all saw he had the little burst back, he was still far from 2016 Zeke.
Zeke was a track star back in the day. He outran everyone on the same defense.

Even early 2021 highlights showed him outrunning people. I think that's why he took 2016 NFL by storm....surprising speed.
Faster than Tony? Mehh....who cares? They are a great duo if only dumb Moore could figure it out.

Heres the problem....everyone wants 2016 Zeke and it ain't gonna happen. Doesn't mean he sucks.

Speed is a really easy thing to see on a football field. The fastest guys are the ones blowing by everyone and dont get caught from behind. Like Pollard.

The really slow guys like Zeke are even more obvious. Especially when you see one run and than the other comes in on the next play.

Watching Zeke run, then Pollard is night and day.

Good Lord...you are nuts! Tony runs over people? You were doing so good until you overplayed your hand.

They generally run different plays. A self-crowned expert like you should know.
You are so consumed with Zeke hate you think Tony can take the pounding Zeke does..meanwhile Tony gets hurt in limited running role.
Why can't we cheer both on? Simple....your unreasonable ego-inflating hatred.

Ah....the old "Zeke is the rb ever that needs a hole" routine. Yet nuts.

i can probably research up a few guys to find slower Pro Days than NFL Combines. and no less that had to both surprise and disappointed those prospects as
their 40 times means rookie draft money at their respective rounds or could decide if they are even drafted.

Usually once prospects have solidified that 40 time they desired at the NFL combine workouts, they are satisfied enough to let that time hold up their draft status.

- The one matter i had wondered about Pro Days, do the prospects run 40 times differently in Pro Days ..than they do NFL combine ?
- Is it about a different way of running the 40 time as they prefer to ? ....stance.....form .. is running surfaces and the track play a part of it ?
- Are they a lot more relaxed and comfortable at Pro days ...as compared to the Indy's NFL combined ?

What does the Oline coach have to do with anything?
You don’t think the coaching has anything to do with the way the players play or adjust. This coach is not a good fit here. We played much better with Colombo in charger. We let our better coach go to the bengals the last year JG was around.

I do, but I wanted to know what he thought. Oline was playing great while we were 7-1. Then multiple issues happened out of his control and things went in the toilet.

I agree. We had multiple injuries and had to move some people around. Who was the bum playing next to Smith. Conner Williams I think, he was never going to be strong enough. Baidas is on his last breath for me. We should have paid Looney for another year. Loosing Fredbeard hurt bad. But this O-Line hasn’t played the same since new O-Line coach took over. Technique seems different. I don’t watch college ball, do you know if the O-Line we drafted is any good.

I do think there is something to guys being more comfortable at pro days. Sleeping in one's own bed instead of a hotel room. Familiar territory.. Maybe slightly less bright lights .. A hundred coaches and scouts vs millions watching on TV and 25-30 thousand in the stands. But I do think that if they are disappointed in how they run at the combine they go back to their coach and he coaches them up on what they did wrong and maybe that does help them run better back home at school. So for a guy like Pollard who ran poorly (for him) at the combine there is great incentive to post a better number at the pro day. For a guy like Zeke? Meh.. as long as he didn't above 4.7 he was going to be a first round pick. I mean for all the hand wringing over their poor 40 times coming into the draft both Jerry Rice and Emmitt Smith got picked in the first round. Sometimes a coaching staff is smart enough to see that a guy can play football and nobody should care what they can do in shorts and t-shirts.
