I agree. NFL QB are paid big and teams are willing to pay it. Not Just Jerry but every owner and GM in the league. In 2019 Russell Wilson was the highest paid at 35 mill. Fans and boohoo about it all they want and it changes nothing. NFL will pay QB it is what it is

You're paying a QB everyone sees as somewhere around 12ish to 15ish the 2nd most per year.

I said it once and I'll say it again...

You should only pay top dollar for top talent, not because it's "their turn to get paid".

Say it all you want but that will never apply to the QB position. Half of first round picks at that position bust, so the idea that you just let guys walk and draft another one sounds better in theory than it plays out in reality.

Arizona just had their best season with Murray got back to the playoffs for the first time since 2015. Just let him walk next year and draft another one? Go take a look back at the Cardinals' history of drafting QBs.

It's pattern bargaining. Even just decent QBs are rare in the NFL, so you have to overpay to keep one. It's the name of the game.

Parsons is top talent, therefore will be deserving of the top money that he gets.

That's why I said you should only pay top money to top talent and not pay someone "just because it's their turn". Murray is not and will never be worth what he just got paid. I would have 100% allowed another team to make that mistake instead of being the team that makes it.

This is life in the NFL, you have to pay a good QB top dollar even if they’re not an elite player or you’ll be stuck with an average QB. Cardinal fans would be hating life a lot more if they were stuck with a cast off at QB who isn’t even a top 20 QB. Murray at least gives them a chance.

If Dak's agent would have taken $33. But with a short contract which the agent always wanted to double dip, he would be looking at a new extension right now as well. Currently he'll be a free agent in 2025 so in 2024 they'll need to get him signed to a new extension also.

Steven Jones has lied about doing his job using the QB as a scapegoat to not to do his jobs in bringing in players to improve this team. Must be nice not have a boss to answer to unlike the other 31 GMs.

If you're talking about the need for free agents, I agree. If you're suggesting that Dak should have gotten more, then I don't agree. Dak got a very nice deal. I do think we should have been more active in FA, and getting positions like NT better addressed would have been a good idea.
