Zeke was hurt for 12 weeks and Pollard was gimpy for two. Im not buying that Pollard was too hurt to play all of December.

Shouldnt the Cowboy have rested Zeke against the Eagles knowing he would be featured the next week playing SF in the first round?
They should have rested Zeke for sure, but Pollard had plantar fasciitis. And those that know will tell you... plantar fasciitis isn't going away until the off season. It needs a lot of rest to heal. That's why they rested Pollard in week 18. But yes, they should have rested Zeke also.

Yeah what stood out about that game was how ineffective we were running the ball until under 8 minutes left in the game. Up to that point Pollard had 9 carries for 18 yards. Then he went 5,6, and 40 to essentially seal the game. Which was good but it highlighted the feast or famine nature of his game to that point. He needs to be more consistently productive and he has certainly improved in that regard but if he's going to be the lead dog at some point he's going to have to do it more consistently. There's no getting around that. Against a good team 9 for 18 means you're down double digits and throwing it every down at that point in the game and those late game totes against a tired defense never happen.

Pollard has been consistently more effective for 3 years over Zeke. Both catching the ball and running it with it. And now your laughable theory that Pollard cant block has been blown out of the water.

Do you realize your hero in the playoff game ran 12 times for 31 yards? LOL

Is that 2.6 ypc the consistency you are looking for?

Last season was the first time Pollard carried the ball over 100 times in a season, including college. He's never been asked to carry the load. Why not? Has every coach he's ever had been wrong? Maybe he's not built for it?

As for blocking, it's not that he can't do it. He just doesn't do it as well as Zeke. Pollard is a great complimentary back. Unfortunately, the Cowboys lead back isn't what he used to be. That's why these conversations take place.

Zeke can’t even carry the load and be worth anything while doing it anymore.

You aint making sense. Play a hurt player because you dont want to play a hurt player? Dude come on.

Showing a play or two of blocking doesnt mean he can do it all game ever game all season. Im not saying he cant....because guess what.....he never has...not in nfl or ncaa. Your cocksure opinion has no basis in reality. Goes for zeke hater cowboyroy too.
Tony injured in limited backup role....gives you such grand confidence. What in the.....
Attention please, to whom it may concern...I didn't make the decision to play a hurt player, to rest a hurt player. So your attacks on me ain't making no sense, really.
.
Pollard came into the league as a questionable blocker, but that's what they have coaches for...to coach a player up. To sit back and say a player couldn't get better or a player can't learn is just...mind boggling.

Why did you quote my post? Because anyone with half a brain would know I had nothing to do with playing a hurt Zeke. And anyone with a half a brain would know that RB's can practice and get better at picking up the blitz.

P.S. - next time, make sure you have a concise point to make before you quote someone's post. Just saying.

Hello....I don't need to be in the RB's room to know Pollard didn't play in our week 18 contest. The last reported injury on Pollard was plantar fasciitis. But, If you know something I don't, I'd be glad to hear it.

Yah, he didnt play because it took Zeke almost 4 quarters and 18 carries for him to get 86 yards which is how much he needed to get over 1000 yards on the year.

At that point the cowboys were up over 20 points and they put in all the scrubs.

Pollard played the week prior against the Cardinals, but again he hogged all the carries.

Blind hatred is an ugly thing. Dude refuses to stop attributing made up statements to other people.
People that do that don't want to engage in a discussion. They just want to argue. I got no use for pointless arguing.. I got a wife for that! LOL!

Again you are allowing your hate to color your perception. Zeke left that game with a minute left in the 3rd quarter. So not only did it not take him "almost 4 quarters" it didn't even take him 3 quarters. Your rant also ignores the fact that Zeke essentially sat out the entirety of 6 or 7 4th quarters over the course of the season because the Cowboys were blowing teams out. Had he not yielded those carries to his understudies he would have wrapped up the 1000 yard mark probably 2-3 weeks before the season ended. But he, like most of the starters, was going to play in that Philly game regardless because of how out of sync the offense looked for most of the game against AZ. They were trying to find some sort of rhythm and confidence heading into the playoffs. They obviously failed but that was the aim.

edit: P.S. the score when Zeke left the game was 30-20 Cowboys.. just adding another tiny dose of reality.

I have not seen a lot of Posts saying Tony cant block ........ he just cannot block like Zeke ....... not even close.

Oh yah.........none of you have ever claimed that Pollard doesnt get more of the load because they dont trust him in the passing game.

I dont get you guys lol. Roy is over the top with Zeke hate and Steve and a few others are over the top with zeke defense. The only thing at this point zeke does better is block thats not debateable but that may be an important enough thing that the coaching staff feels they have to keep zeke there.

Zeke isnt 2016 zeke and will not ever be again. There are several running backs Id take over zeke but we can win with zeke. Its no different than the QB. There are a handful id rather have but we can win with dak. Even though I dont particularily care for zeke hes well down the list of things to balme on our lack of success

We can use both backs effectively and thats what we should do. This whole argument is useless

LOL.. . I hate to break it to you, but 3 full quarters is "almost 4 quarters".

The only guy that is blind is you. And now you can no longer say that Pollard doestn get more of a load because he cant block and he would get his QB killed.

Poor guy. Running out of rope?

You hero hit 1000 yards and went out of the game immediately.

I know you want to protect your lover, but your hero showed his true colors. He cares about his own personal stats over whats best for the team.

Its a FACT that Pollard had 4 carries the week prior to the 18th game. So your injury "opinion" was just proven false.
