Philly has their 7th. Washington is basically tied with us at 17.

This creates quite the connundrum for those PFF fan boys on this board that love to use their rankings to show how awesome some of our players are and how fans are wrong to criticize some of our players. PFF thinks we have a pretty middling, average roster.

We have been posting 8-8 and 9-7 seasons forever. And maybe this season 10-7. Enough wins to keep the nouveau riche coming to the stadium but enough to keep us picking at 15 in the draft forever.
Vicious cycle with no brakes.

Yes, that 17 is about right.

our defense could be really special....we were worried about interior d lineman but we got guys putting on weight and muscle and then we got the Vanilla Gorilla i dont care if its 7th round....it was 7th round we got

dang it whats his name....under weight dude who terrorized interior until he got into fight with Jerry in lockerroom.....Vanilla Gorilla is my pet cat this camp season....love the mean streak...if he can take to being

coached and focus the meanness in proper play ( if its possible ) he may be diamond in the rough....i like our D line....yes maybe we could have gotten a guy during off season but i think with Quinn he has these

defensive players eating nails for breakfast already....i really think we wont miss Gregory although the way we lost him is pure managment incompetence...

...but we got several who can come in fresh that are good....i worry about our linebacking corps...why not get Barr???....we need good vet back up/starter....our backfield is fine no issues there

and for first time our safety group is real good....our corners will be real good if....FAT whoever can rise up and put his music career in wraps....and Goodell does not ding him for violating player policy...but like our

backfield and D-line pretty good and with Quinn the D-Whisperer....i believe better than our offense....if Kellen Moore can have us playing like we did first 7 games last year and yes Dak calf injury biggest reason

we went into tank....but our OC has to be better adjusting....i think Dak being healthy and so lean and mean this year could spell big trouble for opposing defenses?....i mean i hope so...like i hope every year

only to have my heart ripped out of my chest....i will be 64....cannot take too many more ....i think fans who have been fans 50 years should get free medical ...who am i kidding...they just want our money and fanship

they smoking stogies on super yacht and guzzling Johnnie Walker blue at 300 per liter...i heard liter per half if we are winning and double that if we are losing???....

I think you're being overly optimistic. Hey, look, I don't mind. I always go back to that 2014 season where I thought we'd be lucky to win 6 games. So anything can happen. But my feel for this upcoming season isn't good.

Unfortunately, convivial lad, that season record cannot count toward our chances in the 2022-23 playoffs. And 12 wins didn't mexactly get us ahead in the draft. Sod.
But, me miscreant, the O line, the WRs new order, Dak, a rapidly declining Zeke and a pouty Schultz won't guarantee 12-5 next season.
We shall whistle "O Our Merry Hearts Converge" all we want, but next season will be challenging, more than usual.

Just make it easy and ignore that stuff, life is too short as it is.
Tha's nothing. The major tele giants are watching us through the tele screen. Tha is how they know what we consumers like to buy.

Nooooo. Nice thoughtful guys. They are friends, chasing the pigeons through Marketdelia Square, playing "Sonny Boy" on Youtube and singing along, antiquing in Cotulla.

Who are you calling out here? Nobody I can think of uses PFF to prove the superiority of our roster. We have a few highly ranked players but so does every team.

We are coming off a 12 win season….

I think there are multiple factors to consider not only about last year but next year:

a 16th ranked roster in the 2021 NFC East likely wins double digit games.

Dallas ended up losing at home to the last team that qualified for the playoffs.

Dallas lost multiple starters on offense and defense. and while their replacements could theoretically cover most of the holes, until they prove it you can’t just credit them with doing so (particularly the more unproven guys like Steele, Williams, and Smith).

A number of NFL teams that may have been ranked behind Dallas got dramatically better:

Denver
Chargers
Raiders
Minnesota
Dolphins
Cardinals
Eagles
Saints

If LAC had a third year Herbert and Khalil Mack, do they still narrowly lose to you?

If Mac Jones is not a rookie but a second year QB, does he make the same mistakes in that razor close game?

If Baker Mayfield starts for the Panthers and not Sam Darnold, do they still lose to you by 1 possession?

If the Minnesota Vikings have Pro Bowl edge Zadarius Smith, tackle machine Jordan Hicks, and Lewis Cine, do they still only lose by 4 points?

If the Commanders swap Heinecke and Kyle Allen who split time for Carson Wentz in a 1 possession loss, and then added Chase Young who was injured for the game… could it have turned out differently?

A lot can change from year to year.

Flamma---i do hear you....i just choose not to be a realist until we are mathmatically out of it....just cannot forget the 1980 USA hockey team..."Do you believe in miracles".....off-season i swing other direction

and am looking to blame anyone or everyone why we fell short year before....but once camp hits.....a switch clicks.....we will beat tampa Bay first game and dont need a Plat for that.....TB will have uncharacteristic

large amounts of turnovers.....then we ride that "dream wave" for several games.....its time to break that bad streak that same NFC east team does not win back to back seasons since 2004.....yes i am assuming

bounce of ball bounces our way too much.....we play out of our minds..... we are even bigger turnover machine than last year....Dak has best season of his life.....2 -1000 yd receivers....and running game is top

3-5 in league......only way been able to be cowboy fan for 50 years i live in a dream world.....plus i get all my frustrations out during off season......total Hater in off season then switch total Lover during season

yes indeed from that view....things can look scary....i am hoping we have a year where most everyone stays healthy and all those teams have injuries ( not life threatening of course ) and we play better

than our potential and get all the breaks of bouncing of ball and refs all of a sudden love cowboys....realize not realistic....how else can you be a real fan year after year?.....you must go into denial

because a person can only have heart ripped out of their chest so many times before a person must hope we are the 1980 winter olympic USA hockey team....and must rely on miracles...either that or

look to chemicals or booze to get by and i quit that except for occasional valium on game day....when you have a Stephen Jones who is nothing more than Cap-boy running things and refuses to get

free agents when you got the money......you must depend on miracles

out of nowhere 2022-23 Cowboys turned into Juggernaut ..... no one could point to any one specific reason...went against all prognosticators ......cowboys kept putting "the hurt" on just about every team

they played then playoffs occured and cowboys "Mowed everyone down".....no dynasty....just happened as the history books will say...that one year.....Do you believe in miracles?

Doesn't surprise me, considering that unfortunately,we have only one proven great player,a couple up and comers,1 former great player who the clock is ticking on and the rest are pretty much average, hell,so being 16 sounds about right.

#1 offense in the league last year and #1 in defensive turnover = #16 roster in league.

Another reason they are an absolute joke.
