On the flipside, the NFL mostly just wants this to go away. If they appeal, they just lengthened this issue.

Look at every decision they make as about money, and then everything becomes clear. Do they make more money if they suspend him two more games? The mediator gave them an out. I'd be surprised if they don't take it and run.
I kinda expected this, as the nfl season benefits more by watson playing, so therefore a short suspension.
Watson is a QB , considered a top one, and if you add in he got the big deal and is playing on a new team, it adds more to the games for him to play\and
give cleveland a chance this season.

This is no big deal, the girls got a bunch of money, cleveland gets the qb they just paid a bundle for, and it makes the season more interesting.

So I doubt nfl or goodell appeal this. The nfl is about more money , more interest, not whats right or wrong.

Nope 24 is the correct number. The fact that he settled most of them makes the allegations neither true nor false but certainly does not change the fact that said allegations exist and as such there have been 24 cases of sexual assault filed against him with 24 people filing a lawsuit claiming such actions. So 24 is a number that is not in dispute (assuming that no more file but that number cannot go down).

Meanwhile they are not a criminal court. They are not the equivalent of a criminal court. They are the equivalent of HR determining your punishment for violating company policy so when your arbitrator is trying to justify to the public the ruling made the wording very much so matters and that wording was terrible.

This is why people like you should seriously **** when trying to discuss anything dealing with legal matters... but, you are correct, I was actually wrong, it wasnt 5, it was FOUR accusations. I wont explain it anymore, because you are dug in and FACTS dont matter to you. Your :"Alternative facts," are what you will go by regardless of reality.

The arbitrator used the exact words needed, you just dont understand why those words matter....lol

Good day

Yes, that was the year that, for example, T Smith was out and we found out that Chaz Green was a dish rag with scrambled egg for brains at blocking. However, if Zeke plays for an extra 4 games, I think that'd make a big difference. We finished 9-7 that season, mind you. So, if Zeke plays for 4 extra games, that means we likely win the division as we had a better record with him playing than not playing. If that result holds, perhaps we finish 11-5 instead of 9-7, assuming we split those games. Who knows what happens next?
Not true.

We already knew Chaz was a dishrag, it was in his predraft scouting report!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was majorly POed when we took Chaz over Grady Jarrett.

They won't though, because they like to screw us and Goodell might consider it as a middle finger to Jerry.
The NFL if it appeals would only add like two games to the suspension. They have to go by the same evidence that the judge used. Plus the NFLPA will challenge the overture in court. A federal judge is going to have a problem with the NFL over ruling another judge. It would be a mess.

Love your last statement, and I find it extremely accurate. This was never about right and wrong. Spot on.

Negative publicity is still publicity. He will now get more people wanting to watch him, w/ a lot of them now rooting against him. Be interesting to see how many Browns games will be nationally televised when he returns.

Not only that, if the NFL appeals, they are opening up another door, one that they may not want to mess w/.

The NFL should not appeal this because this was the process that everybody wanted, that everybody agreed would be best for the league. You dont blow up the process every time you get a decision you dont like. If that is what the league is going to do, then dont agree to an arbitrator. AND, if the league does appeal and hand out a year, yu can guarantee that the players union will dig in and make this process an issue again in the next CBA.

IMO, it is in the leagues best interest to accept it and move on... even though the masses didnt pay attention to anything, they havent a clue how the process works and they will be outraged... well, let them be outraged. As Eddie Murphy once said about Bill Cosby.... have a coke and a smile and ****.

Teenagers are guilty of inappropriate flirting en masse. It makes a ton of sense.

Diagnosing Peepeeslap as a sociopath strictly from these actions is what makes no sense. Maybe he is, but this action is not indicative of a sociopath. We have no idea if Watson has a complete lack of empathy and conscience.
"If that's true, then 90% of men under the age of 25 are sociopaths." - Suggesting you know this is what makes no sense. I have no desire to argue with you as you defend the guy. Do not care. But your numbers are simply not factual at all.

Ding. Ding. This board is taking stuff to personally. If you look at the real evidence. 6 games is the most by the standard the league uses.

The NFL has 3 days to appeal the decision.

If either side appeals then Goddell will make the decision on the suspension.

So, no the NFL does not have control over the judge's decisions, but they can appeal and then suspend him however long they want.
correct, but they will open a whole new can of worms in doing so.

Spot on.

NFL was just given an out. They're most likely best off just taking that out and running w/ it.

Kinda like how covid testing stopped in the playoffs. I was super shocked half the league didn't kill over.

+1 ......I can the NFL just calling it a day. Leave the negativity for Watson and Robinson to deal with. In other words, we tried but it's in our best interest to respect the decision.
