no...it really isn't.
its probably the one group that is deep enough...numbers wise to absorb an injury like washington's.
opportunity for tj vasher or fehoko or noah brown to take a step up.
I agree lack of Vet presence yes but we could just go young.I'd give sanders and/or TY Hilton a look..why not just some protection with Vet presence for the young group?

i wouldn't mind giving dede westbrook or juan jennings a look.
i liked westbrook at ou...and jennings at tennessee...big physical receiver.

Dumpster diving for talent rarely pays dividends. Yet we do this every year and wonder why we can't win a SB and playoff game. The Dallas media goes right along with the clown show that is the Jones family. Everything that seeps from Jerrys mouth, and son, is a mouth fart. Never trust a ...well you know....

I'm starting to think Beasley and start Tolbert as No. 2 Just coach the hell out of Tolbert between now and the first game.

Give Tolbert, Noah and Vashon a chance in the pre.
I know they're only going to have Rush tossing the bean in games 1 and 2, but you can still evaluate their route running among other things.
Noah has proven to be a favorite, albeit unspectacular target.
Tolbert might be something.
Vashon might have grown a bit.

I'm not endorsing going cheap, but I am endorsing seeing what we have.

And no, I don't just "like what we have".

hmm.. no mention of Feheko ?....

Beasley is only 5"8 .... and i've heard that this current Cowboys staff likes and prefers bigger receivers that can flex and play both outside and inside.

Brown has had half a decade of chances....he sucks. Quit being a cheap azz and go get Beasley....problem solved.

And what gets me is every camp there is always this hurray rave for Noah Brown and all he does is catch a mere 7-8 yard pass ..and the staff is always good with that.

But no matter the special teams coach, or WR coach, Noah seems like a fix to make the team due to special teams play that they make it seem they cannot find anywhere else,
and WR play that is limited. He'll never threaten defenses vertically and downfield.

Here is the list of available FAs. Not much to chew on.

https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/free-agents/all/wide-receiver/available/

OBJ and Hurns are probably best of the bunch. Yuck.
Why Hurns? He hasn't even played since 2019 and hasn't had a strong season since 2015

In any case, remember the guy that went down was the #3 WR at best (at least when Gallup gets back), and probably #4. The Cowboys don't need to replace that with a top level guy.

Looking at the available free agents …

Not sure about Will Fuller's health, but if healthy he could replace Washington's speed, and is probably a better receiver. Sanders, Humphries, Westbrook and Hilton are all guys that have been productive players that might take a short term deal at this point.

This is why I'd probably sign Beasley and start Tolbert. No matter who we sign, the faster he can develop chemistry with Dak the better. Beasley can pretty much hit the ground running. Not to mention I'd guess he's still respected around the league which could help take some pressure off teams taking away Lamb.

interesting tidbits here. Did ya'll know Micah has been randomly playing wr in minicamp? Diggs as well. Could we see Micah/diggs actually get more snaps playing wr after Washington being hurt? Micah looked good actually. The kid can do it all. He is a dawg. Food for thought.

Good QB's are able to make do with decent WR's. Below average guys need the rest of the guys around him to be stellar.

BS......they can probably buy an extra game or two but teams will expose the lack of talent sooner or later.
