One could argue that, if they don't think it was worth having him here for as long as he was. But any team that has a first round pick that never sees a SB with that team could make the same argument.

At the time of the draft, yeah. But any player worth a 1st or 3rd round pick will get drafted at some point. The usual suspects will go undrafted.

It wasn't though. They traded a 1st rounder and Cooper gave them a few years. They got Cooper and it made Dak a better QB.

Yeah but there's a different in salary for the first pick of the 2nd round and the last pick in the 1st round. Its going to hurt one player technically.

First and second round picks are making plenty in college. The loss is probably negligible.
