Comparing Jerry to Al is an insult to Al Davis. Al was a shrewd coach, scout, and General Manager for a ton of years before he lost his way. Although Al did oversee the Raiders in a SB at least in the 21st century.

Jerry? Well, one day he was shootin' at some food and up from the ground came a bubblin' crude....and the next thing ya know he owned the Dallas Cowboys....

The least respected 12-5 division winner you’ll ever see, because it gets good ratings! That’s all Cowherd cares about, so the credibility generated by his occasional brilliant take is largely forgotten. The world’s biggest flip flopper!

Crazy Al never really pushed himself as the face of the franchise and took over coaching announcements so he could increase his personal exposure. He also kept his son in the background and didn't tun it into some hillbilly homebrew organization.

Al became senile but at one time he really had it, he knew the game. Booger has never had it, he's just an egomaniac wanting attention.

Al Davis was a true NFL character; Booger is a NFL caricature.

That's pretty much right on point. Al Davis was stuck in the past and always wanted speedy receivers, because that's what he had success with.

Jerry Jones is stuck in the past and he always wants his triplets, because that's what he's had success with. Yes those 90's teams had Aikman, Irvin, and Emmitt, but they also had a top ten defense every year they won. And that's the part Jerry is missing. Those defenses were good too.

So in the salary cap era you have to do what the Patriots done. Find a franchise QB, give him a good offensive line, then build up on the defensive side of the ball.

I don’t know. That presser where Al Davis explains why he fired Lane Kiffin is pretty bad. Not that Jerry’s body of work isn’t impressive but I don’t think he reached Al Davis’ level yet.
