Tolbert ain't ready, maybe Rush hurt him a bit Saturday, or maybe we are expecting too much, too fast. Either way, I have more confidence in Houston up to this point but that's not saying much about our readiness for game one. I would feel a lot better about this room with an additional vet and I'm sure Cole or any vet wants some assurance of being on the roster/team for more than a few games. Get it done Stephen, if not Cole, then Fuller ......

We had one capable WR veteran on the roster but let him go. So why fill it up with another one right now? The strategy seems to be we're giving youth a chance. So what's it gonna be?

Nay.

So your saying ceedee isn't a capable receiver? I don't follow your logic if that's what you are implying letting Amari go...

No I didn't say that. I said veteran receiver. I wouldn't classify CD as such yet.

This was brought up earlier. That said, absolutely not. The man tossed Dak & the Cowboys lockeroom under the bus after Jerry got rid of him. Cry baby now needs a job. Karma is a beautiful thing.

You said we let our one capable veteran receiver go...which I assume means amari....ceedee is in his 3rd year and led the team in receiving last year....not considering him both capable and a veteran is incorrect both in terminology and perception not to mention production

You stating you have more trust in Houston is a ridiculous statement. You have absolutely nothing to support that. Tolbert may not be ready, but Houston has done absolutely zero to suggest he’s a better option.

Ok Mr. Nitpicker. I say he is capable but not a veteran yet. Make of that what you will. Doesn't change anything from my first post here. Getting Beasley for Amari would be just stupid. Where would be the strategy (I assume our FO has one???) in that? If we wanted a veteran receiver we could have kept Coop. Since we aren't doing anything with the cap space anyway. Give the young (and that includes CD) receivers the spotlight this year. See how CD handles the No.1 responsibility at WR and let the others battle it out for spot #2. This is what I thought was their strategy for this year and I was fine with that.

that’s fine and I was responding to your later post not the original one.

to your point on the salary cap piece I am also disappointed we’re not using the cap savings from getting rid of amari on a few mid tier fas, but unfortunately that is not the plan.

I think the original plan before injuries was to roll with ceedee, Washington and gallop and hope Noah develops more, obviously injuries derailed everything and now they are at a point where there are very few options to bring in.

I am 100% on the young guys as well and would hate to see them bring in a Antonio brown type of guy…Beasley as a stop gap doesn’t bother me but he’s not a long term solution.
