Could Turpin be a difference maker this season?

Yah, a bit early to tell but a punt and a kick off return in a single game? Mighty impressive to say the least. When is the last time the Cowboys had that happen? If not td returns, the Cowboys could be getting some much better field position this season.

He will undoubtedly be a contributor on special teams this season. He has been a top returner at every level of football he has ever played so I do not think it is totally ridiculous to think he could return 2 or 3 kicks to the house this season. A return TD can completely change the complexion of a game so yeah it wouldn't surprise me if he is the difference between a W and an L in a game or two this season.

I'm guessing 5, which would be the record in the NFL.

Kickoff returns matter less and less nowadays but sure, he could be a difference maker. He’ll get his chances on punts and if he is explosive enough he may bring out more kicks than your average guy. Plus his speed should open up things a little on offense with jet sweeps and bubble screens even if it’s just faking it to him to bring up the safeties or use a little misdirection off of

He should be, but he has to stay healthy, and it depends on how the coaches use him.

Yes and yes! I pray to the Merciful God Above, that Turpin is a Glorious Savior to return this team to its Rightful Place in SB Heaven! :flagwave:
There will be unsuspecting fools that underestimate his talents and allow him to score enough to thwart all vain attempts to stop him!

He can be a difference maker this season and many to come IF KM doesn’t misuse him. He’s a small guy and his touches can be managed to make his size an asset and not a detriment.
I’m scared KM gonna screw the pooch on this one. I still just don’t trust him.
Hope I’m wrong

to continue the hip hip hurray cheerleading for Turpin Time ,... He will be much ...much better, much more explosive and faster, and slippery than CeeDee Lamb
on these punt returns, .

. and ditto with the jet sweeps ;)

he will be amazing until a 250lb LB hits him & him being a 100lb lighter it will be over. and he will be on IR and hopefully can come back next year.

They just have to find a way to get him on the offense from r around 20 plays a game. Just enough that it isn't obviously going to him when he is in.

Nope. Who was the last return man that made a difference in any teams season?

Exactly.

I believe the Bears won a few more games because of Hester. In a game where a FG can spell the difference between winning or losing, an extra 30 yards in returns or one returned all the way certainly can.

Let's not forget that, as fast as he is, they still need to do a good, penalty free job of blocking for him. He won't be able to slip through a 10 man jailbreak.

Only if he plays WR. You can’t let that talent only play on ST, he needs to be used as a deep threat and a slot player.
