They are counting on our Defense being a top D in the league and holding teams to minimal points and is having a good run game a ok pass game and slowly get better as the rookies get up to NFL speed and or Gallup comes back.

We don’t have the trio anymore. So I understand your concern. Even after Gallup is back he himself will need to get in the groove. Maybe we have a star in the making at WR. I think one of these rookies will catch on. And if they can use Turpin like we did beez. And Shultz over the middle we will be ok. I am hoping Lamb can be that true #1…

All this clip did was reaffirm EVERYTHING I was already thinking....what in the hell did we do by cutting Cedric Wilson and then thinking we didn't need to sign ANYONE of note??? Again.....we are BOTTOM 5 at this position....we could actually be the worst. That is TBD.

When we had them (DEZ, COOP, Beasley) they just sat there and produced 60% of their potential in both yards and TD.
Why waste money for Wr?????

WR is like....5-6 on my list of top 10 worries.

Y'all act like CeeDee is a scrub.

If Lamb and Gallup stay healthy that's a good 1-2 punch. After that there are a lot of question marks. This group certainly dropped from last years group. Another unit on this team that is weaker than last year. Jerrah and company with yet another amazing job building this roster.

Like we had Amari Cooper, Gallup and CeeDee Lamb last season and although lots of injuries it didn’t matter. Even with the #1 offense we didn’t get it done.

Everyone who watches football knows the offense has less firepower this season. Including the coaching staff. I’m not going to bleat “trust the coaches” or anything but the team has known it was weaker at WR and OL for a while, pretty sure that it has already informed game strategy this year.

The cowboys are going to be a stretch, short passing team that looks to sustain drives and earn yardage on YAC.

It’s just that Lamb didn’t need to produce like a #1 before. He had Coop and Gallup taking a lot of coverage and Lamb could come out of the slot and be open all day. Now starting the season he will draw a double most of the time. Unless teams are gonna run man on man and stack the line and stuff the run on the way to Dak. Then our WR will need to beat there guy fast. And Moore may have to run quick passes and not that long developing pass plays. Dak is gonna have to be on this year..

I was completely fine going with less depth at receiver as long as they went heavy into the o-line since that needed to be fixed. Of course they didn't there as well and now they are even worse there. This offense is going to struggle and it won't be because of the receivers. This o-line looks to be a weak unit. Makes sense, pay your QB, RB top money and field an iffy o-line. Jerry's comment about the skill players need to step up on offense tells you how clueless he is. Starts at the o-line Jerrah!

JJ is not wrong. But injuries happen and we had no depth at OG. We all knew at some point Tyron was likely miss games. Tyler would take over. We have McGovern at LG. If we have another injury we will be in worse trouble. Guessing we will get a bargain O-Linemen or 2.

I don't understand the fear. Allow the offense to take the field before jumping off the cliff.
Many receivers are made as they play. Just give them a chance.

We used this logic in 2018 and it backfired on us. We have Lamb now but everything after that is cross your fingers and hope until Gallup comes back. And even then, you are banking on Gallup immediately showing no signs of the injury, which in many cases, it takes guys multiple games if not a season to really get back to 100%.

An extremely risky strategy here by Jerry. Very much like what they are doing at OT.

I've not been this disinterested in a season since Campo. Just feel with all the player losses and lack of OL depth, that this a lost year. 7-10.

I applaud you for admitting it instead of faking the confidence like a lot of posters do.

Kudos to you, sir. It's perfectly fine to not feel okay about this roster.
