Let’s go! Exactly what we need. Can play both T spots and for a year or so can be a good starter.

I love that lineman can play into their 40’s cause the best of them hone in technique and the strength pretty much stays with age, mobility is the only concern.

JP is probably about 80% of what Tyron was last year. If he stays at that level, he’s a quality starter on either side. Hopefully he’s signed in time to be able to go against Tampa.

The thing that sucks about the timing here is we are probably too close to the season for him to jump right into the starting lineup. So what do you do, play Smith at LT for 2 games then back to LG? Even then does Smith replace McGovern if he’s playing well? The timing makes this thing much more complicated.

Bout time they at least bring in someone. Honestly they should have had a deal in place kinda like the rams did with weddle.

Now here's a past LT that was moved to Guard.

Exactly what should have been done with Tyron this training camp to allow Tyler reps at LT.

Instead the team took the reactive approach and just hoped for the best.

Now here we are.

Wasn't he having injury problems during his last couple of seasons in Philly?

This is just a band aid signing.

I mean he played for $1.75 million last season. So I cannot imagine it’s worth waiting a week to eat that amount of cap. It’s not like it’s an 8 million dollar deal like Fisher would get
Ya I don't get it but they get weird about guaranteeing the money for vets. Just pay the guy 2 mill and be willing to eat it later.
