Check this out.......but wait, the Bucs aren't in our division (lol)

To " Chill ": This is Not Jamis Winston of the Bucs

... this is the GOAT ... Greatest QB in NFL history ...and we still have not yet won against him, much less take him out of his game. ... regardless of HC or DC ..

Thinking about this makes me wonder about our 3T performance this year. I don't recall hearing anything about Osa in camp and he's top of depth chart.

I would not be surprised if we started erratic on defense... given that the bulk of our starters, were held out of preseason.

It's a difference in training camp reps and practices ..vs live game action physicality and in-game adjustments ...

LOL, I know, hardly deep analysis there.

Both OLs have serious questions. Whichever holds up best against DLs that probably have edges on them will likely be the deciding factor in the game.

Our strength is likely on the edges with Parsons and Lawrence but both tackles for TB are good although Wirfs is banged up. Their interior OL is basically all new. Losing Jensen was a big blow just like losing Smith was a blow for us.

Conversely, we have questions at just about every OL position other than RG.
Yikes!
I don't know much about the bucs OL.
Other than their OL had a lot on injuries in camp.
The Cowboys left side is in big time flex.
Our center is not great.
Not sure who's in a better spot

Yeah, I'm not sure how Joe Burrow pulled it off with all of those sacs last year, but normally offense isn't very productive in games where the QB takes a ton of sacks

Last night was a good example.
Stafford had no chance vs the Bills. 7 sacks and seemingly that many hurries and hits as well.
Nobody survives that.
Plus the Bills were just better on both sides of the ball.

the Bills didnt Blitz once the whole game and yet had 7 sacks while rushing 3-4.if we can do that against a make shift line then we can beat Brady.

Burrow also had a great DLine complete w/ a top 3 NT in Reader to help equalize. At present, the Rams have Donald and no other consistently disruptive presence. Need both inside/outside disruption.

The Bills are stacked on the DLine. We are not.

Let us not forget when we played them last year Zach Martin sat out with Covid.

I really wanted Tyler at LG for this game. He can handle Vita Vea power. Tyler and Martin on each side of Biadasz would have offset the lack of elite power at OC.

I do think McGovern has more power than Connor Williams but McGover had significant technique issues last season.

I think Tyler can handle LT. Penalties are the concern. I hate the modern rules. Erik Williams would have been banned from the league with Goodell and the excessive rules.

McGovern has looked so much better on right side.

I can tell you. Burrows lead the NFL in picks for most of the season. They also went 10-7 in the regular season and squeaked into the playoffs.

Once they got there the Bengals defense carried the team along with the kicker having one of the best post seasons of all time. Burrows made some plays, but largely drove the bus.

Ultimately they lost because of the Oline.

I do agree the oline killed tem in the end.

Fwiw....
Burrow threw for > 4600 yards, had a 108 QB rating, and had 20 more TDs than picks
Picks always have to be looked at vs TDs....I mean only 5 picks but only 10 TDs would suck....or like Winston in 2020, 30 TDs and 30 picks too.

Burrow wasn't remotely driving the bus
Plus he was coming off an ACL

Your talking about regular season. And I love Burrows. I would take Burrows today over Dak because of the upside. He has a great way in the pocket and can skirt out and extend plays. Can make all the throws.

But he did NOT carry this team in the playoffs. Look at the games and see what the defense did to some of the best QB's in the 2nd half of games. And if you watched these game, Macpherson was from another planet. Hitting multiple 50 yard FG's in clutch situations to give them the win.

And hate to say it but Mixon is just a total beast. He gets yards even with a bad Oline. Not sure if they were just bad at pass blocking and good at run blocking? But Mixon did so much more for that offense running than our guy did.

No, he didn't carry them in the playoffs.
I agree.
But he was plenty good

Heck, even as great as Stafford was in the playoffs averaging about 300 yards a game, having a 108 rating, and being the only QB to ever lead 4th quarter comeback wins in 3 straight playoff games (including the SB)......his Defesne closed the deal for them.
