LOL I was pretty much the first who unironically criticized Dak - 2016 was a trip. Every other day there were people pulling up stats saying Dak was on par with young Brady.

I'm beyond my Dak criticisms now. It's old news to me. He's a Derek Carr/Kirk Cousins level QB and you need a ton of talent around those types of QBs to win a Super Bowl. He's just not worth making threads about and debating anymore. He is what he is. Those who can't see it have an odd affection for him (Maybe some leftover Romo hatred) or it's just pure homerism. You can't have honest conversations with people like that.

Dak is what he is. He had a great rookie year when he had the best oline and rb in football

Both the line and rb have regressed every year. Dak still has a lot of good moments.

Here's the problem. He plays great against bad teams. It's no surprise he has beaten up on the division the last few years. It has been the worst division in football. But he almost always struggles against good teams.

He's one of the longest tenured qbs in the league with the same team. He is what he is. He's not going to all of a sudden become a great QB.

I agree. One of the keys to his success in 2016, other than having the best o line in the league and a RB selected in the top 5 picks, was the use of his legs kept defenses guessing. Hurts does this really well and makes up for lack of arm talent by picking up key first downs with his legs. If Dak is unable to do this going forward then he's no better than very average starting quarterbacks in the league which would essentially make him irrelevant.

It’s not meant as an endorsement to Dak, it’s more as a reminder that all those non-elite QB’s would face similar issues here with this team and FO. So we can bash on QB’s like Dak and Romo all day. But until we either get a Mahomes/Allen type or we get a FO/coach combo that are toward the top of the league we are swimming in the same pond.
