Cowboys fans have had 26 plays years of futility and have been mostly patient and tolerant. I sense that this season is different. I think Cowboys Fans are ready to lose their **** on the team.

The team seems to be overall very frustrated and it seems like it is about more than just this loss. There seems to be a cumulative frustration, that is ready to hit a boiling point.

If the Cowboys manage to win this game and ride out the season at close to .500 the team may not explode. But if this team really stinks it up (and is either not competitive or the coaching can’t be defended) I think this situation could get REALLY UGLY IN A HURRY. We are right at the “critical mass” for one hell of an explosion.

We need more former players calling out the owner…consistently. Sure it would get them out of Jerry’s good graces but who cares… the fanbase would love it.

fans also have to speak up… I wish they could organize a walkout on national tv.

Jerrh jones has to be embarrassed to be forced to do anything. Otherwise it’ll always be more of the same every week

I hope the humiliation is as haunting as possible for Jerry as he sees fit to mock his fans.

Some of you would like that, huh?

What is that going to solve? It won't do anything but make matters much worse. Isn't the bad performance why y'all are acting up to begin with?

I didn’t express an opinion as to whether it would be good or bad. They are just facts. There is no emotional attachment to the stated facts.

Does it matter if you think it's good or bad? Clearly, this would be bad. Very bad. Sure sounds like you are looking forward to it, hence an emotional attachment to creating this thread.

It doesn't matter. Jerry and son have been playing fantasy football front office together going on 3 decades. They are incompetent. What fans do is irrelevant, either way.

They own the team, they're rich, and they're not going anywhere. They also aren't going to suddenly outsmart the rest of the NFL. If they could they'd have already done it.

Very true, but does that mean it's ok for fans and the players to start acting like the eagles and their fans?

Define what that even means. Bottom line, more fans are finally coming around to the reality that these two egotistical, rich jokers are the real problem.

Stop blaming coaches (who they hired), and quarterbacks (who they paid), and stop expecting the Jones clowns to fix their own problems. They can't.

I'm a therapist and I work with trauma victims and a lot of abuse victims. When an abusive relationship is happening there is always something called the "screw it" point. We use a different word that "screw" but this a family forum. When the screw it point happens it means the abused person finally realizes they are being abused, stands up for the themselves and reacts in a manner the abuser isn't prepared for. That can consist of going no contact, calling the police and pressing charges, or becoming violent themselves. After the screw it point is hit the abused doesn't return to the abuser. They've have enough and realize life is better without the abuser.

Jerry and the fans are engaged in an abusive relationship. All the signs are there: false promises, times of hope, devaluation, no empathy, word salad. And earlier today was a bit of a mocking, "I got you and you can't leave statement " with the whole I'm not selling the team when asked about angry fans.

So I feel we are on the brink of the "screw it" point. This has the potential of getting ugly fast as the OP said. I am concerned it could get violent and I hope no players, refs, or other fans get hurt. I really hope fans don't show up to the game or turn it off before it gets any more aggressive than it already has. But I feel the OP is correct and the fans have been abused for 20+ years by this narcissist and they're at the "screw it" point. It can get bad.

The Jones aren't ever going to sell the team, so is it best to act out? I think not. We're supposed to be Cowboys fans and better than that. A Cowboys fan supports through thick and thin.

At least we know now for sure he is listening and reading about how the fans feel and what they think of him. You know it is eating him up inside. So much he had to publicly denounce us. People with enormous egos hate it when they get no respect, credit and love.
If you look up egomaniac in the dictionary, you will find a pic of Jerry.

Dude I completely agree. When things were thrown at Dak I thought to myself "this is bad". I agree we're there, I feel we were there after the 49er loss. Now I'm just hoping cooler heads prevail and no violence happens. I don't want that. To be honest what I would like is 100,000 people chanting "screw you Jerry" (or something to that affect) for an entire 3 hour game. Or all the stadium just empties out on national TV and humiliates him. As long as it's words and no objects being thrown, no fights and no one physically gets hurt.

But I do 100% agree with your post that we're there. If we get blown out Sunday things could get ugly. I hope it's safe ugly. That's what I'm stuck on. I just want safety.

One more point is I feel the fanbase is realizing it's Jerry and son. So why throw things at Dak. He's a lieutenant in the army of Jerry. Not a fan of Dak as a player but that's low and crappy. Just like throwing things at the refs. If fans want to embarrass Jerry then go for it, but please don't physically hurt anyone.
