Interesting that they'd rather risk losing Ridgeway than even allow for the possibility of McGovern being out at least 4 games. They could've moved him to IR like they did Basham, and not have had to cut Ridgeway. Anyway, not sure if that says more about their lack of faith in Ridgeway's future, or how nervous they are about the iOL and hoping for a quick return for McGovern, when it seemed it was more like a 6 week-type injury originally.

it’s comical at this point. Cowboys don’t go near players from other teams and 31 teams don’t want any Cowboys! That says a lot!

Yep. Good one.
This is what it's come to, lol

This front office and coaching staff is full of numbskulls.

They drafted Connor Williams and forced him to play Guard, even though he would have been better at playing either Tackle or Center due to his athleticism. They released him this offseason. Miami picked him up, made him their starting Center, and last Sunday he finished the weekend as the #1 performing Center to start the season. This same bunch of numbskulls have failed at properly rebuilding our Oline because they don't know who should start at what position, much less know who should be starting and who shouldn't.

They are making the same mistake with the receiving crew for the same reasons. Last Sunday, they started Armstrong at right DE and played him there most of the game. Armstrong was a complete failure who never once put any heat/pressure on or came close to Tom Brady, much less ever secured that right edge against the run. Sam Williams should have started and played there most of the game, but this group of coaches simply can't think properly for some weird reason.

Now, they are risking of losing John Ridgeway for their own incompetence. Good luck finding another big guy to plug in the middle if Ridgeway gets stolen and Bohanna suddenly suffers an injury. We will be back to having the middle of the D-line be our weakest point once again, especially against the run.

I feel like mcclay does a good job selecting the groceries, esp when the owners and coaches don’t get involved…but then the management of the talent is atrocious

As the franchise continues to stack decades of unsuccessful seasons upon unsuccessful seasons, the fan base starts to lose sight of what excellence looks like. Add in a billionaire who is an excellent hype man, I doubt we will ever see prolonged excellence again in my lifetime (I’m 55).

Memories of watching the franchise with my dad when I was very young were some of the only good memories of my youth, and I doubt I’m alone, and makes having our noses rubbed in it even more offensive. But I know each ownership family is only temporary, the franchise is forever.

Is he though? Is Jerry a great hype man?

The Dallas Cowboys were "America's Team" and Ranked #1 in revenue before he arrived and without him they probably have more post season success and are worth more.

Makes one wonder, did they set their big board up by who they wanted to select if available. Or was it really by BPA.
I believe it was set up for need, not BPA.
They had Ridgeway graded as a 6th round pick, they don't rate run stopping only NTs very high to begin with. Ridgeway no matter what team he's on will probably be a very good NT in a year. Bohanna is a lot better than he looked last year.

:laugh::thumbup:

Ridgeway was a complete waste of a draft pick.

Overhyped to the extreme.
Yeah, I really didn’t understand why they kept him on the roster. Looks like he’s playing in knee deep quicksand. Nothing there you couldn’t easily get on the PS!
