I just watched this again, and I need someone to explain that one to me. At no point did Cincy have clear possession of the ball, and obviously Parsons had the ball in the end. How do they give the ball to the Bengals there?

I thought the Cincy player only had it curled between his bicep and forearm until Micah grabbed it with both paws…….should have been overturned

I do agree with the Non TD call when pollard stretched out for the end zone….he was a couple inches short

It looked as Micah recovered and had control. As soon as the Bengals player tried to grab it from his control. The refs should have said down by contact. Now maybe not at first in real time, but for sure from the replay.

I just seen it again, on the local ABC sports from DFW.
I can see why they said a tie. So yes tie goes to offense.
As was mentioned the Bengals had it, Micah pulled it away then the Bengals player grabbed it. Bit Micah still had control.
It actually could be called down by contact either way. But the refs did not call that.
Just said Bengals recovered.

It's not tie when Mixon never had control or possession.

Judgement call by the official, and the official's judgement was wrong.

I don't think Mixon had more than his hands on the top and bottom, and that was after Parsons recovered it.

Mixon never had possession of the ball. He reached out for it and had an arm on top of it and Micah using both hands grabbed it away and possessed the ball the whole time with Mixon twisting on top.
Exactly what happened

Only defensive players need full recovery.

Offensive players need at least a tie to make it their possession.

If I recall correctly, Micah could not get the full recovery and as long as it is a tie with an offensive players and the officials can see it clearly, it will go to the offense.
