At what point do we seriously start to consider Rush as starter?

He’s doing his job as the backup, making enough plays to win while allowing the running game and defense to really dictate the outcome.

But make no mistake, our playbook is much more limited with him. Moore is doing a good job protecting him with lots of easy throws, playaction and bootlegs.

Based on YEARS of precedent, we can assume we win both of the last two games by multiple scores with Dak. When the defense and running game show up, we generally win comfortably with Prescott because he’s a top 10 NFL QB and that’s what happens when good QBs get help.

Wait until Rush starts a game where the opposing defense gets to him, slows the running game and the defense struggles. Whereas Dak has kept us in MANY such games, we’ll get slaughtered with Rush.

The difference is Dak played his only game of the year against what appears to be by far the best defense in the league this year. Tampa Bay is giving up 8 PPG.
