There is little to no tape on Cooper Rush. Let's see how he does when teams actually faces a tough defense and DCs start game planning for him.
Cooper Rush did a great job, but thinking he should supplant Dak after a couple of wins is laughable.
I give respect to Cooper Rush for doing what he needed to do to win the last two games. But still am not ready to say that he deserves the starting job. As I said for him to even be realistically considered for the starting job. He is going to have to prove how he can play once defenses game plans for him. And is going to see how he is able to handle himself in a game where the our defense is having an off game and the our offense needs 30-40 points to win a game.
Some compares this to 2016, when there is no way that I believe that Dak would have taken over the starting job just by winning two games. And if Romo was able to come back sooner, than he would have most likely started. But by the team he was healthy, the Cowboys had about 8 wins in a row with Dak. Now if Cooper Rush is able to come up with a solid to good performance against the Rams or the Eagles, while leading the Cowboys to 4 or 5 more wins, then him getting the starting job might be a more realistic possibility.
Because again, if the Cowboys first 2 games in 2016 with Dak, were ones that had to be relied heavily on the defense to win, while the offense was shut out in the 2nd half for the majority of one of those games. until the final seconds, then that alone would not have been enough for Dak to get the starting job, if Romo's table of returning was sooner than what it ended up being.
