Donovan Wilson is playing so very well, but it's only a matter of time before incumbent starter Javon Kearse
is healthy enuff to return

- So do we bench Donovan in place of Kearse ?

- Malik Hooker is FS centerfield type, not a role suited for Donovan, nor Kearse. They both seem to be at their best when boxed closer to the line.

Donovan will still see some playing time as we employ 3 safety look in Dan Quinn's scheme.
But both Kearse and Hooker are full timers always.

It's a great luxury problem to have, at the cost of lesser playing time for Donovan.

BTW, enjoy Wilson as much as you can, as he's gonna hit the FA market with NFL teams bound to
toss a big contract at him. :(

They will all play minutes. They can all be on the field at the same time because Kearse is like a pseudo-LB on passing downs. Better to have depth, the more the merrier.

Kearse will be on the field the most as he typically calls the defense & has the most versatility of them.

Wilson was already starting at SS while Kearse played the "Big Nickel" role as the small linebacker/big safety. The only person who will losing playing time when Kearse comes back is Mukuamu. Wilson is a playmaker whose main problem is that he is a big hitter who is not built like one. He's between 205 and 210 but brings the wood like he's 225-230. Unfortunately his body knows the difference and keeps breaking on him. Reminds me a a taller Bob Sanders.. who was a 5'9" 205 pound heat seeking missile at safety for the Colts back in the day. Could never stay on the field but was one of the best in the game when he was..

I would bench Kearse just for his idiotic comment about the fan treatment of Prescott.

I know it's frowned upon to reference Stephen A. Smith, but he was right when he used to yell "Stay off the weed" before some states legalized it. Now he needs to yell "Stay off social media" to the players that can't handle trash talk.

They will all play - very good situation to have this depth to rotate personnel and not have a big drop off

keep guys fresh - not only in each game but the season

this team is deep on D

He was mainly the slot/ Nickel back his sophomore and Junior year, didn’t move to safety until his redshirt senior year. Don’t see why he couldn’t play that position and play it effectively!

I hope Quinn chooses to use both Kearse and Wilson to advantage in the purpose each is best suited for.
The same goes for Hooker. It's to the defensive backfield's benefit to use that rotation to advantage.

I would put Bohanna in more, Pull LVE out more, have Kears in place more often and Wilson exactly where he is.
One of the few posters who knows what he is saying. Pull LVE out more. But Is anyone listening??????

I would remove LVE altogether and play Kearse, Wilson, Hooker, Bell in addition to Barr. I guarantee huge upgrade in pass and run stopping. LVE is a non factor and will be gone at seasons end.
