There has been a PRECIPITOUS DECLINE from rookie season and a stepwise decline thereafter.
Personally I do not think he is read-react type LB he is more an attack type LB, personally think the Nolan and Quinn and systems would rather their LB be in position even blocked than out of position. Barr and LVE always seem to be around the play, LVE is usually there Barr is usually trying to get there via the longest route possible.

MLB may be the biggest need in next year’s draft. He is never there to make a tackle at or near the LOS. If he isn’t 8 yards back, he’s in the wrong hole or caught up in traffic. They defiantly need an upgrade.
Not next year this year. We will not win our division and may not eve get into playoffs if this is all we have. There is free agency, trades, and within our own ranks players that could be an exponential upgrade even if it is another safety. We have an increadable D but only as good as the weakest link. The rams and philly will fully expose what I am talking about. We are going down with LVE.

I think he took his own advice that he game Parsons, "chill you can't make all the plays, look at me I only give 50 percent" He's Jaylon Smith but slower and can move slower from side to side. shrugs.

He is around every play. 30 yards down field and after the first down. So looking good is better than being good? What does be in position mean if you have no impact on the play. This is nonsensical talk.

I have no idea why he was not shipped off with Jaylon. But at least Jerry did not make the mistake of a big contract like Dak and others that fail to materialize.

Won’t get an argument from me but I don’t see them doing anything about it this year. Hopefully, he isn’t in any future plans.

Whats the point of discussing it if you are going to resort to hyperbole. Most of the plays to his side he is there but I guess a good LB is supposed to be at the LOS and down field covering another guy at the same time. I never said he was all pro, I said he and Barr are what they are, no more than NFL serviceable LBs at this point in their careers. Those calling for Cox are going to be even more disappointed the only thing he brings is coverage skills but he will have the same problems Barr and LVE have and that is engaging and getting off blocks.

Not effective outside the box? Not effective anywhere that I can see. We are not a top 5 defense with LVEBarr out there. Maybe top 10 with Parsons, defensive lines, and secondary. But sub average linebacker play (not including Parsons that is).

Like I said get ready for Rams, Philly, Green Bay beat downs. We are not going to beat top teams with this. Not going to happen. Being there is meaningless.
