If it wasn't for our Defense, Rush would suck

This is nothing more than a defense of Dak thread.

they are getting nervous !! So is Dak ! 3-0 !

Next 2 games will tell us more about our defense and rush.
However if dak were starting, would anyone here (besides a few lol) say dak would win both games????
Or even either of them lol, most would be happy going 1-1 with dak.

curious to see how rush does, and how our defense does against 2 good offenses.

..haha... I thought about that yesterday. Those 2 int's were big calls for Dallas. No doubt the D is helping this team win.

Not throwing Rush under the bus, he's doing a good job floating the ship.

If Dak gets his head straight, he is the better QB.

Rush looked like complete dog ish, for a large portion of the game yesterday. And then he didn't. And we won, and he made some huge plays. I choose to focus on what he did well and how it ended up.

I have no quarterback agenda as I only care about winning, but I have to admit I have never seen a legitimate argument for saying a quarterback that is 4-0 as a starter "sucks".

I like Dak, but I give credit where credit is due....Rush has done what he is being asked to do and has done a great job.

According to some fans Cooper Rush is playing outstanding, even phenomenal. However, the facts are he’s been solid but nothing spectacular. We’re not scoring many TDs and are relying on our kicker and a defense that’s played better than any I can remember under Romo or Dak. Our defense has been outstanding! You can get by with an average QB if you have a great defense that has a terrific pass rush. The lesser your defense the more it puts on the plate of your QB and the better they have to be. If our defense starts giving up 3+ TDs every week we’re going to be in deep trouble with Cooper Rush.

You could’ve said the same for Tom Brady most of his career and esp early in his career…

not comparing Rush to Brady just saying the same principle works for every QB. If any QB turns the ball over it makes it vastly harder to win. Rush has protected the ball and made enough big throws to win games. Will he be in Canton…uhhh no. But neither is Trent Dilfer, but Dilfer does have a SB ring.

Yep, when he was 2-0 I started to pay attention. Now I'm convinced.

This league is stacked with defensive talent nowadays. And he has evolved during his time here. Has really put his mind to it, and it shows.

He had a few bad throws....two ints called back because of penalties. But, he's driving the bus. The offense is not on fire and if it wasn't for our defense the Rush love wouldn't be like it is. But I'm happy we have him for a backup.

I agree, well said. Some people want to anoint him the next Brady based on a few games, LOL. Banish Dak, LOL. He had two INTs called back in the last game, and one or two in the other games as well. He could easily have 5-7 INTs if not for penalties and the other team just not catching them. What I do like is that he is aggressive, throws the ball downfield, tests the defense deep. For some reason Dak seems skittish to do that now, he holds it and takes too many sacks. He seems to only want to throw to guys wide open, but thats not going to happen much in the NFL. Its been nice seeing a guy playing with a let it rip attitude. Ill take some INTs
