Dak is not playing this week. According to Jerry he is only throwing soft passes and is not really firing the ball yet. They are not going to rush this, no pun intended. Until he starts throwing long passes accurately without pain I just do not think they will risk losing him for the season.

Id stick with Rush.

Have you seen those Sleep Number commercials? Dak sleep like a little girl.

I’ll start with a Cooper Rush. If he plays and wins this game. A little less than 50% of the fans will want him to continue playing the rest of the season. If he loses, 50% of the fans will say we told you so it’s been the defense.

Dak Prescott. If he starts and wins. 50% of the fans will say it’s because of the defense. If he loses now is the big dilemma. I believe more than 50% of the fans will say well maybe we should’ve kept Cooper Rush.

personally, I think Prescott is the better of the two quarterbacks overall. But I just want to win I don’t really care who is behind center. It makes no difference if we win by one point or 21 points. It’s about the game plan and the team. Go cowboys beat the Rams Sunday
Dak is out, he did not practice all week which is a Big Mac requirement.
Now if Head Coach Jones overrules him, that's a different story.

It had become crystal clear that Romo’s career was over. He was no longer able to take a hit.

Not sure many fans remember, not one team was willing to trade for him. I remember John said they would consider him but only as a free agent, and even then would not guarantee a starting job.

I hear ya Whirly. I doubt Dak will play. That said, the Rams lost against the Niners Monday night meaning it's going to be tough defeating them coming off a loss & playing them at home. Should Dallas pull off this win with Rush at center, Dak just may lose his starting roll. Why? Because not only will Rush have won 4 straight, but he'll have defeated both Superbowl teams from 2021.
LOL. They would never, NEVER let Dak play this week. Not in a million years. He will be eased back in with an easy schedule. This guy has been cuddled his entire time here. What a joke of a franchise.
Then leave!

Smh, a guy who had surgery on his gripping thumb is somehow going to come in rusty and play better than Rush.
I seen the guy before thumb surgery and it wasn't pretty.

I admit, I'm a little sick in the head these days. I would throw Dak back into the job, knowing that he's made of glass and likely to get hurt again. Just get the chaos over with, take the losses and let Rush rescue the season one more time.

No QB controversy this week at all. Rush is starting this week, and Dak will be back once he is cleared and can practice a full week. Now if Rush comes out this week and hangs 30+ points 300+ yards and 3+ TDs against the Rams don't be surprised to see Dak's return get drawn out a bit. He does it again the following week against the Eagles, then we have a legitimate QB controversy.
Rush isn't putting 30+ on any team. Dak's not ready, Rush will play. There is not a qb controversy. Dak will play when his hand has healed and hopefully not before.

What are we, 3-1? I would not be surprised if we were 3-3 after we play the Rams and Philly. I will take it. I won't like losing, but I will take the 500 season after 6 games.

Rocket science it ain't. :)

Decent chance you’re right, but no one gave us a chance against Cincinnati either. You never know until they play the game

It’s not a dilemma at all. The players and coaches have all said publicly how much they appreciate having Rush as their backup QB. He has done an excellent job. But he’s not seen as the starter by his teammates and coaches.

And as good as Cooper Rush has played, it’s not like he’s lighting it up. Without our outstanding defense, we’re probably 0-4. I’m not degrading Rush, let’s keep him in perspective. It’s not like he’s been Mahomes.
add in all national and local media all stated clearly,

Daks better then Rush and dak will and should get his job back WHEN hes 100% healthy. Fans dont matter.. they are living in the moment, the heat is fresh, but they aren't thinking clearly.

We have a shot against the Rams, they are certainly better than the Giants and Wash but have some major flaws right now...Rush continues to not turn the ball over (yeah I know we got lucky REAL lucky this past game) and the defense keeps playing lights out..we have a good chance against the Rams.

This is the most accurate, concise description of the current situation that I’ve seen so far.

In reality, within the Cowboys organization, there is no QB controversy. Some fans and of course some media members would love for there to be one, and they have their reasons. But there just isn’t.

This isn’t some situation where an aging long time starter is already on his way out the door and the young guy is bringing some new energy to the team and taking over.

These circumstances are not at all like when Romo took the starting job from Bledsoe or when Dak took it from him.
Rush is like the same age as Dak basically, and while he is 100% performing admirably as a backup, he is not taking the starting job. Some folks are trying to convince themselves otherwise, but it’s simply not that situation here.

We are on to debating how big of a contract he is going to sign somewhere next year.

there is no dilemma in the Franchise at all...there is some wierd hope for some here, but again logic tells you its ridiculous..Your only hope needs to be Dak comes back and plays like he did last year to start the season, otherwise we are screwed for at least 2 years if not more. Again nothing is good about Rush being the starter as Dak sits on the bench with that contract. IF we can win games with Rush throwing 15 passes and running the ball and playing good defense we will be even better with a QB who can actually throw all the routes doing the same thing..again the ink is dry on the contract, there is no takebacks.

If we beat the Rams with Cooper Rush on Sunday I feel almost certain the Cowboys will stay with him against Philly. You can’t bench him after beating the defending Super Bowl champions. He’ll have two wins over both Super Bowl teams from last season. I don’t believe Dak could handle the pressure of taking over for a 5-0 QB and having to face Philly in their hornets nest. It could lead to a debacle and the fan base would be livid! We have to stay with the hot hand until he falters.

Dak should start when he is 100% healthy, if he has a bad game and then stays bad, we are in the same position if he comes back and beats a couple bad teams and then loses to a good team. This defense is good the Oline looks way better than we expected..Now if Philly just beats us because they are better we will just have to live with all the ridiculous posts as we know it would not have mattered who was QB.
