If it wasn't for our Defense, Rush would suck

Didn't Dak have the same defense and stunk it up so bad he got booed plus trash thrown at him?
Meanwhile, Rush is 3-0 this season. You can give credit to the defense, but haven't seen 1 defender throw a TD pass or lead a game winning drive.

i don't think so. The Cowboys aren't going to run the table here. They are going to lose more games. It won't say if they are legit or not. The Rams are good. The Eagles are good.

So how do we then find out about this defenses real capabilities?

More backhanded compliments or flat out denial that Rush played any part in the win. When did y'all start counting near interceptions? No credit for a QB continually answering opponents scores to put the Cowboys behind with his own TD drives weekly? Ok. Keep that same energy and don't change up for rest of the season.

Nobody thinks Rush is top notch. We just think the biggest difference in him and Dak is the paychecks. That's the problem.

Dak is paid to clearly be the better QB, it shouldn't even be close, there should be no question.

But yet here are, 3-0 without him.

The defense allows the offense to play conservatively.

That approach almost cost them against the Bengals and it took some plays by the QB to save the day.

Why would I want to switch teams????? I've been pulling for this club for the better part of 50 plus years and it's nice to finally see the Boys have a QB who can beat decent teams and the TOAD HUNTER ain't that QB ................LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't think anyone is suggesting that Cooper Rush is the next coming of Joe Montana. But the defense has been the same for Rush and Dak and Rush has managed to win all his games while Dak failed.

He had a few bad throws....two ints called back because of penalties. But, he's driving the bus. The offense is not on fire and if it wasn't for our defense the Rush love wouldn't be like it is. I wouldn't go that far, he wouldn't suck,

but he is for sure the recipient of better defense and STs plus a lot less mistakes during his 3-game win streak, also the weaker teams we have played etc, Dak wins these game and most likely they are over far earlier enabling the pulling and resting of starters,

that said rush deserves credit for not messing things up. hes under control and is doing all that asked of him..been great really but if the circumstances were exactly the same , daks going to also win and win bigger, the team has stepped up but the real tests are the next 2 games.

Rush and the team are playing well enough to win. No, Rush is not the second coming of Staubach, Brady, Mahomes, etc, but the team is winning when the chips were down. The D is giving them a chance and the other units have responded. I had given up on Rush as a legit backup QB. Glad to see he comes through when the lights come on.

BTW, how do we know Rush would suck? He hasn't been in a shootout, so it's all speculation. We never know how someone responds when the chips are down. Could be he excels or wilts. I know it's been a team effort so far.
