Got to give Jerry credit he's got balls

A former boss of mine was friends with Dan Rooney. He said while Rooney was neither a fan of Jones nor Kraft, Rooney once said “at least you knew where you stood with Jerry, he’d tell you exactly how he felt. With Kraft, he’d tell you one thing, then stab you in the back a minute later.”

Good for you Jerry. That actually made me laugh. Last I heard Goodell was bringing in somewhere between 40 and 60 million a year in salary. Apparently Jerry did a little math and figured Goodell wasn't worth it. The other 31 just don't want to mess with what they feel is working.

Expect Tyler Smith to get more holding calls…repeat of 2016 all over again…what does he mean don’t mess with me he’s about to croak lol
31-1 with the Jerry being the only dissenter on a new contract for Roger.

Now we know why we got a bad spot in the Eagles game, Roger was on the mic talking to the hot chick ref telling her that she better mark it short if she likes her job:laugh:

Jerry stinks as a GM but he is one heck of an owner. He is right about Goodell and his compensation. Paying a guy $62 million a year should not be glossed over. The owners should set a bar for Goodell to get over before he gets his huge bonus like any other corporate CEO. If the NFL's popularity drops Goodell should not be getting paid, especially if he is the cause.

But there are a bunch of owners who control Goodell and they will pay him no matter what because when they need him he is there for them.

In the article about Jones.....

"He believes in corporate good governance and wants accountability on the financial goals tied to Roger's bonus," said a league source familiar with Jones' thinking. "He is sensitive to awarding a big bonus to Roger before he performs and earns it."

This apparently applies to commissioners and not quarterbacks.
