Will The Bears RPO us to death?

Watching Hurts and Sirianni execute the RPO last week was nauseating. Seeing Parsons lost on the outside and our LBs not being able to get to the edge was hard to watch. The Dallas Cowboys have a Def that is built on speed and causing havoc in the backfield. The RPO is the best counter punch to our D.

not all Teams can pull it off. largely due to the Qb position. Although there’s nothing individually concerning about Justin Fields at this stage in his career, he allows the coaching staff to hit us in the mouth with something that was proven to work against us. I am 100% positive that The Bears are rewatching the Eagles/ Cowboys game and will hit us with some RPO.

The Bears have nowhere near the talent at WR like the Eagles do but with how our run def has been struggling lately, they could be in for a long day defending the run.

I’m not worried about the Bears. They may have the worst set of offensive line, QB, RB, WR, TE that we’ve faced all season.

I think Parsons learned a lot from last game. I doubt that neither he nor Quinn will get fooled by this next time. Of course I could be wrong about that.

Any team with a mobile qb will try to replicate that. Giants on thanksgiving definitely will as well.

I trust Quinn will be able to adjust. I think vs mobile qb's you can't use Micah strictly as an edge rusher. Keep the offense guessing.

I think if you rush Parsons, rush him and have someone else ready to cover behind him. If he's gonna cover, let him cover. Don't make him decide whether to rush or follow the RB/receiver out of the backfield. An indecisive Micah is a useless Micah.

If we lose to Justin Fields I’m throwing in the towel. The last time we played the Bears we made Mitch Trubisky look like a great QB. Fields has looked worse but he can run.

Our run D is mediocre at best— especially on the edges. We are very soft on the perimeter. LVE is a liability in general.

I am hoping Clark can start to take some snaps away from LVE as the season progresses.

The run defense is still a concern so I think they will given the success teams have running RPO against us

The Eagles are well coached and Hurts has some talent around him.
The Bears are not well coached and Fields doesn’t have talent around him.

I’m not worried

Dan Quinn had best get Jabril Cox out on the field to use his speed and quickness to help our edge rushers, because old man Anthony Barr is not going to cut it.

I think against Philly we used micah on the edge too much. Kinda played into what they wanted. It won't be popular, but against those types of offenses I'd have Micah lining up more at LB. That way he can go sideline to sideline. You can still blitz him anytime you want, just would be over the guard and center.
You can obviously still use him on 3rd and long as a pass rusher.

Detroit was the tougher of the two before the bye IMHO.
NE might shut down Chicago Monday night.

We should hope that Quinn comes up with an answer for the RPO by next week instead of letting Parsons take on 2 guys at once every play.

Cox and another DB (Bell) should sub out LVE and Barr when Cowboys have big lead in 4th and EVERYONE AND THEIR MAMA know opposing team will be passing every down.

We opened the 2nd half like this and it is when that game changed. So I agree with your suggestion 100%. Get him in the middle of the field making plays.

I thought of that exact thing. But I don't think the Bears coaching staff can do anything right.
