Unfortunately he won't. The best he can hope for is DPOY.

That's just the way it is in todays football.

A few years ago JJ Watt absolutely tore the league apart. They gave the award to an undeserving Rodgers who had a good year but not great like Watt had.

Just an all out Super Star play. Gave effort that paid off by not allowing points. Then we get a fumble recovery next play. Fairy Tale play that one.

Funny about all the Micah the Lion stuff over past year...

Dude literally looked like a Lion chasing down a meal. Play was utterly absurd.

I still don’t know why he didn’t get credit for the sack on the other play in which they gave credit to Armstrong

I need to see the play. It could be that after Parsons tripped up his foot, he took a step or two, as in a football move, before he went down. and since it was behind the LOS, Armstrong was the closet player. So he gets the credit.

Same as if a QB runs out of bounds behind the LOS the closest player gets credit for the sack.

He is the most productive AND disruptive defensive player in the league. Amazing combination of athletic prowess, instincts, technique, heart, and will.

He is dominating the opposition and leading the #1 D in the NFL. He has a strong case to be the MVP— but if there is an offensive player that has a decent year, that will eclipse an outstanding year from a defensive player

He can but he won’t. I think the last was LT over 35 years ago. It is a QB(or offensive) category now and it would take an epic season for a defensive player to win it these days. With Brady and Rodgers struggling, it increases his chances though but there are a few other QB’s that will get the majority of the votes.

Can't stop watching the hustle play from yesterday.........damn, that's some juice.

I would say Yes to being the MVP. He at least is in the conversation. Look at the play that he chased down the TE. What stands out to me is it is very similar to the Larry Allen tackle of the Saints DB to stop a TD. Allen was in a standing up position, not running, and then saw the pick and chased him down. Parsons was going one direction, saw the ball go by him, changed directions and stumbled and then chased the TE down to save the TD and possibly the game. Just a freak athlete.

I also am excited how this energy and this "never quit no matter what" attitude is contagious. On the very next play, DLaw makes a phenomenal play to cause a fumble. We recover and it was game over. DLaw is one I have bashed for years but DLaw has been on fire since last year. Is that cuz of Quinn and Quinn knows how to coach them up, or is it he feeds off Micah's energy. I don't know the answer to that but Parsons is a physical freak who doesn't seem human sometimes. He never gives up on a play. Not only is he a physical freak of nature but his competitiveness matches his physical attributes. Truly special player.

I was telling a co-worker those last two plays will be in every coach's speech as an example of never giving up. He chases down the TE ( from the backfield) and stops him just inches from the goal but 99.9% are thinking ok, they'll, and what happens, they fumble. our ball. It's the best defensive play I've ever seen.

I agree 100%. As a fan watching those 2 plays unfold it made me feel good knowing our guys won't stop fighting regardless how bad it looks. Those 2 plays made me loud to be a Cowboys fan. Never give up on anything.

It is up there with the Larry Allen chasing down a pick play.
