With Lewis going on IR, we have a spot open.

They had 1 spot open already. Then with Lewis and supposedly Farniok and Waletzko going to IR also. There are 4 spots open.

Bashem and Hankins and Clark could fill 3 of those. They need to fill at least 1 OL spot. Maybe 2. Maybe the leave Bashem and / or Clark on IR. Well Clark was on NFI, and he would be moved to IR.

Anyone know the story on Hankins? Looks like he hasn't played much the last couple of years. Injury issues or has his performance dropped off a cliff?

He played 14 games last year (2021) and had 38 tackles, played 16 games in 2020 with 48 tackles. Only 30 years old. Played 5 games with 10 tackles this year. Not bad for a guy who is probably only in the game on running plays. I would assume they take him out on passing downs.

Getting Hankins and a 7th in 2023 for a 2023 6th is a good deal but keep in mind Hankins is an UFA after this season and while he will help the interior D-line, I think more moves are needed to help both sides of the ball.

The former Giants starter has seen his Raiders role diminish under new DC Patrick Graham this season, but the veteran interior D-lineman has extensive starting experience. Hankins stands to add a seasoned depth piece to Dallas’ high-end D-line. Dallas will send a 2023 sixth-round pick to Las Vegas for the 10th-year defender, Tom Pelissero of NFL.com tweets.

After a mid-career stopover with the Colts, Hankins enjoyed a lengthy Raiders run. The former Giants second-round pick started 61 games with the Raiders. Only one of those came this season, which has seen Hankins’ defensive snap rate drop from 58% to 37%. Hankins, 30, had played at least 58% of the Raiders’ defensive snaps in each of his previous four seasons with the team.
