OC not utlizing enough concepts to get WRs open in space. Route combinations don't maximize WR strengths like KC/Buffalo. Ah yes, change the offense for a QB who took 1 week to throw a TD in training camp in season 3 and is the end result of making things "Dak-friendly" for 7 years. Dak still can't throw against a zone to save his life. He stares down WRs and is contingent on Moore getting WRs open on their early reads. It is what it is.

KC has Mahomes and Buffalo has Josh Allen.

This offense should be a well-oiled machine by now considering how long Dak and Kellen have been together.

But you have a QB who goes through spells of not being able to process the field and anticipate throws, and an OC who for some reason lacks the creativity to create route combinations that facilitate open WRs. It's not a good combo.

Perhaps the WR's that Moore has to work with are simply limited. The fact so many point to Dallas having the #1 offense in 2021 and what was heading for a similar direction in 2020 somehow blame him for being a terrible OC? I just do not understand that in the least.

It's too easy to just blame the QBs, which is why a lot of people do it, when the offense hasn't been very good with either of them. That's not saying they aren't part of the problem.

There was a lot of discussion about the WRs before the season and it appears to have been a legitimate concern. Gallup's back but he doesn't look like his former self yet. Tolbert hasn't done anything and the Dennis Houston hype has fizzled away.

I won't pretend to know more about offense than Kellen Moore, but the passing game has to improve. I'd still lean into the run, but you are going to have situations where you have to pass your way back. Not sure this team can do that, at least not yet.

The bloom is off the rose with Kellen Moore. He’s coaching for his job in my opinion.

And this is a key week for me against Chicago. Matt Eberflus has embarrassed Moore in the past so I will be interested to see if he’s learned anything since. I tend to doubt it.

The quarterback is back, so I expect better offensive production each week.

Yeah his concepts seem to be extremely standard with no depth in variation. I’ve seen replays where we have 3 stop routes on one play and it’s ridiculous.

This is the one part of the Garrett/Linehan tree I think Kellen stuck to most. He seems to be more concerned with creative gadget plays than he does with run/pass concepts.

Yes Kellen Moore is Jason Garrett 2.0. We do not scheme to get our WR's or a specific WR open like the Bills and KC do. We just line them up and say be the coverage.

Look how we use Pollard. Pollard is a weapon. Turpin should be used also to utilize his speed and quickness in space. We don't really use him at all on offense.

I have to say Broaddus is right, which feels weird to say. I'm quick to knock our QBs, but it's a group effort. The only thing KM seems to do frequently is scheme open his TEs. Really tough to sit here and say with a straight face that KM utilizes his skill players well.

Dak can't throw under center to save his life. What is Moore supposed to do, every time his QB stares down WRs, while holding on to the ball too long? Moore has to basically throw from shotgun with this guy.

The problem with the offense is the talent on our wide receivers. We don't have a receiver who can stretch the field and command double teams. Been saying all this time. We are missing Amari Cooper and Cedric Wilson. Amari because he draws attention to him which allows other recievers to get open. Cedric Wilson was Dak's go to guy in crucial situations. Now they are both gone it has affected our offense.

But the main culprit is Jerry and Stephen. If they think we are going to win with Elliott/Pollard running the ball than we are in for a rude awaking. Jerry needs to stop telling the coaches what to do. We need a receiver like DJ Moore. If not, then we can kiss the Superbowl good bye.

I am not impressed with Moore. His gadget plays annoys me. I am more concerned with how he's using the running game. I feel like the running game is having some success in spite of him versus because of him.

Kellen doesnt adjust. Get ready for a stead dose of what we have already seen. He has the same arrogance as his predecessors and this scheme itself is archaic. I would kill for a mind like Lincoln Riley to come and change this entire scheme. Heck I would settle for Jim Bob Cooter.
