Eagles own Saints 1st rd pick

Point is Eagles have a lot of contract year players that’ll affect them huge. Hargrave, Cox, TJ Edwards, Slay, Bradberry, Sanders.
With restructures, and post june 1 cuts, They will be able to resign whoever they want… They likely won’t be players for outside free agents though…Using overthecap’s calculator, I was able to get them to 40+ million out of the cap pretty easily With restructures, and post June 1 cuts of some guys they have on voided years.

Why the infatuation with Philly? If we play well, we should be them.
You say we’re infatuated? Then you post that we should ‘be them’…;)

Seriously though, if we play well, and, they play well, they probably win…We would have a shot, but to say with any confidence that we would win is just fantasy at this point…I think the most that you can say is that we would be competitive, and have a punchers chance of winning.

It's pretty sad. Eagles won a Super Bowl 5 years ago and have now pretty much torn down that team and are right back in contention while our front office will forever spin its wheels forever. Our front office gets fleeced in trades on both ends.

This! Why some people here give our brain trust a pass over and over again is beyond me… I wish it was us and not Washington that the NFL was pressuring ownership to sell!!!

Eagles suck at the draft.

Problem is Roseman is renowned for his salary cap knowledge. He just moves money around, and constantly is able to resign whoever he wants. They keep saying sooner or later he'll have to "pay his debts" from constantly pushing money to future years. Sounds good...except They’ve been saying that for 10 years now.

This irks me how some people seem to think this is voodoo magic… Just play around with overthecap.com… It’s pretty easy

Cox and his $14 million are coming off the books. He is near the end. This is also Kelce's and Graham's last year.

Eagles suck at the draft.

Look at the OLine they drafted, LOL. I saw an espn or nflNet segment a month ago, where they examined the Eagles SECOND team oLine, and determined there were 4 nfl teams that would exchange their entire starting oLine for philly's second team oLine.

Look, it makes me as sick as you...but you have to give credit where it's due...and try and learn from it

What? I’ve read that he was very good and was getting better every week till his injury. I would love to have him here. Unfortunately, based on some NFL Dr. analyst I read said that he’ll be back to 100% by the time they play us

Everyone gets well the week we play them.

maybe so. Id rather the division be strong and force the cowboys to keep getting better
Nice theory....but Booger and Chuckles cannot be forced to do anything. And Booger is only happy if he wins with the guys he drafts....and 99% of the time, holds onto too long.

Beat them...

If they do get the top pick, I wonder if they would consider trading hurts for a ransom, then getting five cheap years of Stroud. I guess which helps you win games? a first overall QB on a rookie deal, or, a very good five year veteran at 45 mill per season… I wonder if at some point teams start to let Quarterbacks ‘graduate’ at the end of the rookie deal rather than pay them such a huge chunk of the cap.
Smart teams dont trade established QB's for lottery tickets unless the relationship is fractured like Wilson and Watson

Lol. I can’t recite all the draft picks they made recently, but Dallas Goedert, Devonte’ Smith, Hertz, Davis I’ll look to be stars/future stars… Just keeping it real
I agree with you on Hurts and Goedert. I don’t see star when I see Davis or Devonte.

He spent three 1st round picks and a second on receivers over the last few years….just to end up with one star and Devonte Smith.
