Dak does not throw lay ups to the RB like Staubach and Aikman. He just does not check the ball down early enough for the lay up passes. He has been badly taught to focus on Lamb and it is pathetic as he can not throw WRs open.

Been saying that since his rookie year. Even argued with the, "Dak and dunk," guys saying I wished he'd check it down more often. It's a processing issue. Sometimes the checkdown is your best option and the quicker you figure that out the better. I liked Kurt addressing that on CeeDee's TD, even though it worked.

I am not railing against him for anything but the 4th down call, the concept of that play was a mess. You would think they have something a bit better to get 3 yards with the game on the line.

Yeah thats been said by a few people who broke down the film. Scheme and play calling are different too. It was just a bad call on 4th and 3, when we had to know they were bringing pressure.

This thread will go nowhere.

However, if some rando from Twitter posts something that blames everyone but Dak it will be filled with "See! You guys just don't know football!!!! This rando speak the truth!!!"

Yet you claim you know more than professional players and coaches at the NFL level.....

:lmao:

Bottom line: Kurt Warner points out numerous instances where Dak simply does not read the field well....and on the 2 INT's, that many want to blame Lamb and Schultz, Warner correctly points out that Dak should have been able to read the play so as NOT to make those throws....but again, Dak stares down his 1st read and can't go through his reads or read the field.
The homers will ignore it

interesting, Kurt says "one of Dak's better games". What we saw were the mostly bad plays and a couple good ones. Dak did throw the ball 47 times in the game, so this tape is a small sample. I've watched these before. I always come away with pointing the finger at both Kellen and Dak. I'm gonna guess it's a teacher and student problem..........

Absolutely.

The play design/call was awful.

But the quarterback should not be absolved for not converting. At times he’s the slowest processor.
So tell us how Dak was supposed to execute better on that terribly called 4th down play where we only needed 3 yards for a 1st down.

This is painful, almost to the point you feel scammed by everyone, Dak is in his what? 7 year? Still having footing and throwing motion problems?! Unbelievable, and add to that: Hesitation, staring down his targets, late in his throws, fixated on one receiver, wait is not only Dak... Bad route concepts and bad timing of the calls by Moore.

O line collapsed on the most important play of the game in OT 4th down! ALL 5 OF THEM got beat! I can't go on... I feel dirty for believing on this team at some point, if I was McCarthy or Quinn I would be packing my bags and distancing from this franchise before the stink forbids me from getting any other job in the NFL.

Maybe read the D a little better.By now he should know what the D is doing and maybe audible.Maybe use his legs.Maybe just have better feel for the position?Doesn’t have the smarts, feel, or mental makeup in big situations.

You mean the same type of play against the same type of coverage Troy Aikman used to throw to Michael Irvin successfully and help win 3 SBs? I wish Aikman would chime in and shut Kurt Warner up. Michael Irvin has been saying exactly who was to blame during both Interceptions. He's only saying what worked during those 3 SBs between he and his QB Aikman.

Who are you going to believe? The 1 SB winning QB or the 3 time winning WR and his QB? Who do you think is more correct? Very easy to see who is correct.

Hello? The pocket collapsed around him not even 2 seconds after he got the snap. Look at the terrible routes the receivers are made to run. Who draws up those routes where only 3 yards are needed: a QB or his O-Coordinator?

Another great breakdown from Kurt. His insights are incredible to me, I really appreciate being able to watch a veteran like him to these breakdowns.

A couple of takeaways from me (I'm not an expert but just my 2 cents) are Dak doesn't seem to trust anyone but Lamb and Schultz. Seems like his first read on every play is to Lamb's side of the field then he goes from there. He also just prefers throwing between the hashes and bails or flat-out ignoring the outside receivers too often to me.

In some of these plays, there are 3 vs 3 on one side and 2 vs 3 on the other and his initial read is to the side with the 2 vs 3.

The final 4th downplay design was a joke, 2 receivers running the same route on top of each other and not much else for Dak to go to. Seems to be a pattern at times with Kellen Moore.

Dak sucked. very average. and when he was good and on time, the WRs were bad. this offense is not on the same page. not sure why.

Like I said…..audible.Although he usually audibles into plays exactly what the D wants because he’s so easily fooled.

I believe the guy that is unbiased unlike Irvin who is a cheerleader and always has been.

Warner is probably one of the smartest QB's and football guys and diagnoses plays in an unbiased manner wherein he calls out bad plays/players as he sees them.
