Lots of focus on a potential Gallup-type deal.......

Word is it's a toss-up between the Giants and Cowboys.....he'd be the Giant's WR1.

Several teams are interested in OBJ. How much is he worth?

ONE THING YOU NEED TO KNOW
Odell Beckham Jr. is approaching nine months post-op, and so his market will heat up soon. And it’s important to know how the ex-Giant, Brown and Ram got here.

Beckham initially tore the ACL in his left knee in October of 2020, had surgery, and returned to the field for Week 3 in ’21 as a Brown. Which gave the impression he was O.K., and that Cleveland had given him plenty of time to rehab (11 months) when the situation was more complicated than that.

Regardless of where the blame is placed, Beckham’s 2020 ACL surgery wasn’t successful. By the time he pushed his way out of Cleveland last November, that much was clear. In fact, during his physical with the Rams, there was plenty of trepidation about signing him, with the status of the knee murky enough that the team might’ve balked at signing him if it were for the full season. After talking it through with Beckham, the team and player figured they could get him through the season, managing the knee, and hoped for the best.

They almost made it, with Beckham tearing an ACL that was hanging by a thread at the end in the Super Bowl. And the prognosis coming off the second surgery, performed by Rams team doctor Neal ElAttrache (one of the nation’s best knee surgeons, and one whom Tom Brady trusted with his knee 14 years ago), has been better.

Still, it will remain a point of interest to the teams looking into Beckham (49ers, Bills, Chiefs, Cowboys, Giants, Rams) in the coming days. Which should make his physical pretty relevant, same as it was a year ago in Los Angeles.

He is not coming here. Team will likely be 6-6 after thanksgiving and in last place. They should win the next 3 and get to 9-6 but it’s not guaranteed.

Rams lost Kupp as well and stink.

You can eliminate the Rams and eliminate Dallas in a week.

Too risky to just hand OJ a long term deal unless there is very humble guaranteed money included.

I dont think 6-6 is likely at all. That has dropping games to the Vikings, Giants and Colts. I see losing all three as very unlikely. Id even be very surprised if we lose to both Minnesota and NY. Both have been playing well above their heads and are due for losses. We beat NY without Prescott, with NY running for 160 yards

Doh!!! You’re right @darthseinfeld! I thought we were 6-4 making that post!

If you can sign Beckham to a Gallup type of deal, that would be a huge bargain. Yes, I am hearing that is down to the Cowboys/Giants.

OBJ isn't getting big money without a lot of being incentive based is what the article essentially says and why Dallas is very much in the mix.

If you look at what teams are legit contenders but also need a weapon at WR Dallas rises very quickly.
IMO it's KC or DAL or a retirement deal in NY.

Negative Nancy alert! ;)

Agree but I'm starting to think Jerry, Stephen, and the players not only want his talent but the WR room needs more leadership. I'm not sure they are seeing the leadership from Lamb that they had hoped for so far. I'm basing this on what appears to be a lack of attention to detail and drops.
I could be wrong but I think this gets done ( it's rare Jerry AND Stephen admits their desire for an outside free agent in public) even if they overpay a bit.

I am sure teams are interested in giving him a physical exam, working him out and hearing his contract demands. But no one is as interested as signing him before seeing if he can even play. I think his agent is working overtime to hype him up before he has even been cleared to practice.

Coming off his second surgery on the same knee there is a big risk, not just of another injury but also that it may inhibit his ability to run and cut. Teams will give him a through workout before they listen to his demands.

Interesting his knee wasn’t healed the first time. That’s some crazy stuff. I’m not sure how he even passed the physical. Regardless they won so they can suck for years now and no one cares.

I'm sure any team signing him will have injury protections.......
