Enjoy the Five Championships

Go back and watch Super Bowl 12. You will a dominant defense. Then watch Super Bowl 27. You will see a real offense. Them watch 2022 cowboys and you will say man this team is not even close.
Superbowl 27 - thats the shootout with Pittsburgh? Staubach and Bradshaw?

There are too many people who are happy with participation trophies.
Jerry thanks you

At the age of 58, I am not looking to see another championship in my lifetime. This team, from ownership, down to the folks turning out the lights; have been snake bitten.

Player excitement, media polls, and popularity are now the ebbs and flows of a once proud and revered franchise. Looking forward to next year's Forbes rankings.
Pretty much how I feel. The team from ownership to janitorial staff are more committed to getting attention than winning. There's a psychological condition that's called "toxic optimism". Toxic optimism is when you're in a dysfunctional/abusive relationship with someone and you're optimistic they will change when they've proven over years or decades they won't/can't. I get frustrated with myself because I have toxic optimism about this team and I fall for it every year. But when I'm being realistic I doubt Stephen will be any better and by the time he's gone I'll be way too old to care, or have dementia, lol.

But what is a lot of fun for me is rewatching the 90's teams on YouTube. Unless there is some coming to reality moment for the Jones I honestly don't see any real success coming our way. I decided after the Packers loss to watch the games, if I'm in the mood, and detach from any emotional investment. Kind of like watching a movie and if the movie sucks go do something else.

But boy do I miss the days the Cowboys only existence was to win super bowls. Now the only thing this franchise cares about is the social media numbers and the annual Forbes ranking.

Good times and I never believed for a moment that this organization would go this long without sniffing even a NFC title game.

It’s been 10 years at least since I expected anything from this clown show. I no longer get very excited win or lose. I fully anticipated the meltdown against GB (I live in Packer country & I kept telling there fans, that AR would rebound nicely against us). It’s strictly entertainment, and as long as you have no expectations of winning anything meaningful (like myself) you can get some enjoyment from watching games. I just don’t put time aside anymore to watch unless there is nothing else to do.

JJ is our bane. And when he’s gone his seed will continue to make this once proud franchise a laughing stock & whipping boy for the rest of the NFL.

Sad to say, but everything you said seems plausible.

Don’t let the door hit you in the *** quitter.

No one is. You’re just trying to make yourself look better than everyone else. Get off your high horse quitter.

Such a baby. No one mentioned leaving the team. No on mentioned not being a fan. Stop being such a tough guy/gal. I guess you never learned how to communicate.

Super Bowl XIII in January 1979 was the high-scoring game between the Cowboys and Steelers__35-31 with Staubach and Bradshaw as the QBs.

Super Bowl XXVII was in January 1993...14 years later; Dallas drubbed Buffalo 52-17. (Aikman and Kelly were the QBs.)

as long as Jerry is the GM and then his son takes over. we will not see another championship.

I gave up on this season in pre-season. I know the results. at best, one and done in playoffs and a bunch more empty promises from Jerry.
well I know pretty much what will happen, but at times I thought dallas might be good enough
to get to a SB.
However now I see a team that wont get past div round.
I am ok with that as I dont want jerry holding up a SB trophy again.
I like him to be bummed out in the exit game and have to live with that whole offseason.

I Follow other teams too, and my teams have won quite a few SB's the past 10 years.
so I get satisfied with that, and have had fun and excitement with those other teams.

Dallas I still have to watch every game, but dont buy any merch. Dallas is still fun to watch
and follow if you dont care if they win or not.
