It’s been explained multiple times. You refuse to accept what’s been explained.
No, people keep trying to explain why they made the call they did but can't answer why it's a good rule. They can only say, "well, it's the rule". I know it's the rule but it's a bad rule.

So I wasn't saying why it was a good rule when I explained that it keeps it from being yet another judgement call for the officials, and another way they can affect the outcome of the game?

It's more definitive than trying to determine which part of the foot touches first. It's also common sense, IMO, that if the whole foot comes down, the whole foot should be in.

When the entire foot touches it has to all be in bounds. Doesn't matter if the toe touched first.

It's one of those quirky catch rules, like one knee equals two feet.

His foot was going to the ground!

Just another dumb rule from the Nonsensical Football League.

Anyone actually have the *text* of the rule. I have trust issues.

It was a TD. Both toes touched inside. The second foot heel was out, but only AFTER his toes were in. So it should have been a TD.

The Toe drag only counts when the rest of the foot is behind you and inbounds too.

We had toe down and heel out, u don't see that a lot

i feel that once Lamb brought his left foot down with his heel on the line, he was technically out of bounds. Had he not brought his heel down and just hopped out of bounds oh his toes it would have been similar to the toe tap and it would be a TD..

So the call was correct.

When people don't know the rules they show their ignorance by saying silly things like, the toe was in before the heel was out. Then the problem is further exasperated by people making false claims like the heel was in or the heel was in but it just looked out. No, the heel was out. This was not a toe-tap scenario because the heel was in play. The heel must be in for the catch to be made. What really makes the situations frustrating is when the refs are overzealous with their power to stop the action to review the previous play. The ability to do that is supposed to end once the next play starts but last week a 60-yard FG got nullified because the refs wanted to further scrutinize an amazing catch that CeeDee Lamb made. They eventually agreed the catch was good and made the kicker re-kick the 60-yard FG which he, fortunately, made again. This is yet another example of when the refs get in the way of the game being played. The refs need to stay out of the way and fans need to know the rules.

This might be the dumbest thread this board has seen, and that says a lot. Dumber than a second coat of paint, and dumber than every “Garrett is the next Landry” thread this board suffered through years ago.

Out of bounds is out of bounds.

I think if it had been called a TD they would not have reversed it

When Dez' finger landed out of bounds they called that a touchdown and then reversed it. This would have been an easy reversal. A whole foot comes down with the heel clearly out of bounds. It doesn't get any easier to review than that.

If it happens to the opposing team next week, you can bet everyone will agree with the rule then.

Really? So you can now do nothing but insult someone who honestly doesn't agree with this? We're just whiners?

We still got the touchdown, we won the game, it's a matter of principle. Possession, one foot and one toe down should be good enough. It is when falling forward, should be when falling backwards.

The rule that was claimed to be the one they used says if there is no drag. He clearly dragged his toe, you can clearly see it on the wide screen slo mo, so it might not be a bad rule but a bad ruling after all.
