A little Disappointed in his development. Not because I don’t think he is doing ok, but because he came out so strong the first month or so of last year that I perhaps expected too much from him too soon. Still a young kid who can develop. Just not quite stout enough in the run game to offset his lack of splash plays at this point for a starting 3 tech. Still he is a key rotation guy for us. Just hasn’t played well enough to separate himself from the pack. I think like the rest of our front 7 he would be one dominant DT next to him from looking better

That’s why I’m asking Bc it felt like we were as excited about him as we were Sam Williams. And honestly you rarely see him show up in games, not even like late to the sack party who they’ll all gather around Micah after a big play.

He had a promising rookie year year and I was hoping we would see a big step forward in year 2. I don't think we've seen that but his contributions have been similar to last year. Certainly more room to grow, you see some flashed but then don't hear his name for a while. Right now seems closer to Maliek Collins vs the next Superstar.

I think he's fine, just not really strong enuff inside like we need yet. Maybe in time he will be. Dorance Armstrong was a late bloomer at edge and MAYBE he will be the same at DT. We need Big Bohanna to be healthy and better inside. Same with Neville.

if Osa is any kind of a "real playmaker" he doesn't need a Ron Payne next to him. Playmakers are gonna make their share of impact plays and presence.
Yes and no. Too easy block/chip a player out of the play if no one else on the line can disrupt or requires extra attention.

I think he is playing well ..... To many people on this board do not understand the DT position.
I remember this board wanting to run Tyrone Crawford off ..... And after he leaves they start crying about how we cannot stop the run.

Yup. Craws was a very good player. Too bad we forced him to play out of position at DE and overpaid him. He would've been loved as a DT for 3 mil.

Don't we play 4 DE's in obvious passing situations more than we used to because of DE depth? If so, that could explain why we see fewer sacks from any of our DT's.

I’d call him the best of the three third round picks in 2021.

That isn’t saying much however.

Its mind boggling how they treated the Wright pick as some sort of luxury, or throwaway, whatever.

‘Hey Dan, why don’t YOU make a pick here. Who do you like?’

Very Marinelli like and as much as I like Quinn, the reason you don’t let assistants make draft decisions. But that’s Dallas, opinion by committee.

This wouldn’t matter much if the draft wasn’t the only way they seek to improve. You’ve gotta nail third round picks in that case.

Love me some Osa. Probably our best DT and he's a smart guy too.

Love that he and his brother were able to make it to the NFL despite their father being in prison for the last 20 years because of a mass shooting he committed.
