Using "Playoff Machine", Pick the Playoff Teams

I ended up with

NFC
1) Eagles vs bye
2) 49ers vs 7) Packers (but could be Wash or even Seattle)
3) Vikings vs 6) Giants
4) Bucs vs 5) COWBOYS (could be Panthers but Bucs are at home vs them this week)

AFC
1) Chiefs vs bye (I have Bengals beating Bills in Cincy this week)
2) Bengals vs 7) Dolphins (but could be several teams)
3) Bills vs 6) Ravens
4) Jags vs 5) Chargers

Agree with this. But if I had my preferences…Carolina wins out and sends Tom into retirement while I think Wash would be a tougher matchup for SanFran. SF has Seattles number and I’d love to see someone upset them first round.

Panthers are playing better than the Bucs right now. Would love to see them win this week but it is in Tampa...
But then the Panthers also would have to win at New Orleans in week 18. Road division games can be tough

What a comeback by the Jags if they can win vs Titans in week 18..

That's a big game in Cincy this week for the top AFC seed.

  • A Cincy win probably hands it to the Chiefs
  • A Bills win probably seals it for Buffalo
  • The Bengals can get the top seed if the Cheifs fall to Broncos or Raiders....which is unlikely

The Panthers at Bucs is big too...at least for that weak division

who would you choose to play, taking into account their stadiums and city's weather etc..

The Panthers or Bucs?

Panthers heavy run offense, very safe offense ,plays tough D plays in the east could get cold and wet.

Bucs has HOF qb and team that know the payoffs and could step up at any time with far more talent., nice warm FL climate maybe drizzle at worse..
I'm torn

would love shot that beating brady and sending them home but think Carolina might be an easier win.

Only 2 weeks left (and 1 for Dallas)!

There is a huge scramble going on for the final playoff spots in both the NFC and AFC
Also, the top overall seeds are not locked up yet either

Using the "Playoff Machine", who do you predict will be in the playoffs for both conferences this year?

http://www.espn.com/nfl/playoffs/machine
why are we even paying attention? The Cowboys, at 12-4 supposedly have no chance, so why would we care about teams scrambling to get in on the final week that are barely above .500?????
Im looking for the articles condemning the Giants, Bucs, Washington.... but I cant find any. Im sure I could find one on why nobody should want to play the mighty bucs and 59 year old Tom Brady.

A lot of people are actual football and NFL fans, as well as Cowboys fans.

This is for NFC, AFC....NFL football, as well as Dallas

I find it interesting.
I'm not sure why you would take the time to post in the thread if you don't, but whatever.
Go Cowboys

Panthers would run for 250+ on this defense

Their oline and defense got healthy at just the right time of the season.
They can be tough

Their RBs are just average, but good enough with the team being physical

possibly. or the TB Bucs could throw for 400.. rather have the slow burn and our offense can put up points then the quick bombs for easy scores that tb is capable of. and just because they might doesn't mean they could.

if the panther were so good, they would be 12 win team, they arent but the team with far more talent and payoff experience is TB , so again who would you rather face??

I think Carolina, bears put up 250 and lost by how much 49-29? one dimensional much easier to matchup with IMHO

None of the NFC South teams have been good.

Panthers got a spark with the coaching change, QB change, and health upgrade.

But they just lost Jaycee Horn in their secondary. Just when the team was getting healthy, they took a big hit.
Right before they started getting healthy they traded away their best offensive player. He might help lead the 49ers to the SB appearance but CMC is long gone.

Their D has no glaring weakest, but they aren't dominant either.
Darnold hasn't had a pick yet and has been efficiently bus-dirving, so its allowing them to be competitive with defense and run game.
