Jalin Hyatt WR
TENNESSEE • JR • 6'0" / 185 LBS
PROJECTED TEAM
Dallas
PROSPECT RNK
56th
POSITION RNK
6th

Hyatt wasn't in the first-round conversation heading into the season but he's a great example of a player taking advantage of his opportunities, thanks in large part to Hendon Hooker's Heisman Trophy campaign. Hyatt is a bona fide deep threat who consistently stacks defensive backs who have been helpless to do much about it all season.

Mabye his stock has been rising but I thought he was more a 2nd round type guy.

Where they have them drafting he basically is a 2nd round guy. You could probably say that about most players drafted after 20th pick in the first round.

Really interested in what he times. I think Hyatt is a north below Jameson Williams and that’s not a slight. We could use that speed element.

Well it’s not my choice by position but I don’t know how great the guy is. We need help in the trenches

Even CBS has him ranked 56th, so no taking a guy 28th that is ranked in the middle to the bottom of the 2nd, isn't basically the same thing.

Seems like a reach pick for whoever did this. These guys love to mock CBs and WRs to us. In this draft, taking Hyatt there when there are some DL still on the board would be a real disappointment to me.

That ranking will change. Maybe not as high as our pick, but Id be suprised of most places have him outside the top 40 come April. Big play guys are in demand, and 18 yards a catch and 15 TD's in the SEC is going to have people interested.

One year of production hurts, and he isn't close to the Jaylen Waddle, Jameson Williams caliber big play threats, but I think he winds a top 40ish guy in an average WR class.

56th is laughable at this point.he is definitely a 1st Rder.

Hyatt is super fast, but I didn't see much route running from him. Jalin looks like just a speed guy, so in the draft process if he can show some footwork it would go a long way in helping his stock.

I don't like the fit for the Cowboys in the 1st round, you don't draft that type player at that point in the draft. Trenches first.

It very well could. If he just blazes the combine, he could see his stock rise. My only point is arguing that picking at 28 is the same as picking in the 2nd round when the guy in question in this mock was taken 28 spots above where he was ranked by the same mock. That seems like a reach. But again, often times in these mocks, these guys seem to pick way more on what they think is need as opposed to what a team might actually do.

i get what you are saying but some of those things were said about Waddle too,you cant teach speed but you can teach better routes.
