Whether this team is the 5th seed or somehow miraculously earns the division title and the 1 or 2 seed- I want this team to exhibit a list of qualities that consistently show they can win some games in the playoffs.

This list is simple but it is not common. Only the best teams capture these qualities:

1. Mental Toughness- the ability to overcome mistakes, bad calls, being behind and refusing to accept defeat no matter what. Mental toughness has been missing from this team for far too long. Mental toughness is a quality ALL champions have.

2. Physical Toughness- being able to match or exceed the physical toughness of your opponent. Being able to take it to your opponent or counter-punch their physicality. (Last year the niners were just physically tougher and we couldn’t answer it)

3. Being Fundamentally Sound- the teams who win playoff games are always fundamentally sound. Being good at the core football fundamentals: Blocking and tackling. The teams winning playoff games almost always win the line of scrimmage and tackle well.

Quite simply- if the Cowboys can show us they are mentally and physically tough and can be fundamentally sound they are capable of a deep playoff run. We have enough talent. But without the above qualities, it doesn’t matter how talented you are, an early exit looms. We have 27 years of evidence.

It’s time for this team to prove it.

Play the starters and struggle against a nobody QB isn't the way to go into the playoffs. Need to blow them out.

Start the game and get up on 'em quick. Defense plays better with two score leads usually. KM better keep a leadfoot on the pedal until the game is safe in the 4th. Keep your boot on their necks.

My biggest worry is how we played in the 4Q in GB and Jax.

Many playoff games of late have gone that way, and if we end up with a decent lead, they can’t take the foot off the gas.

They’ve nailed #1 and #2 just have to mail #3.

What I really want to see was consistency, but if I don’t see it now it’s too late

Good luck with that Bobby..........like I said in another thread, at this time of the season, we are who we are.

@Bobhaze I love your optimism, but this team only operates the cowboy way. The cowboy way is always the most difficult and pain inducing way possible, win or lose.

I would settle for a first down at this point.

We certainly don't even resemble a team ready for the playoffs in any facet of the game

Well we've dug ourselves a pretty nice hole in this game so.

It will be interesting to see if we are mentally or physically tough enough to pull this game out.

At this point the fundamentals are out the window.

Sheesh this is embarrassing on national television

If you are watching this turd of a performance. You've summed up what we lack as a team.

Kicking on grass isn't good today either.

It's funny how playing on grass bites us at some point during the game.

1-3 on grass.

Id never bet and give up points on a game we play on grass ha ha ha

It's gonna be an ugly win by Pollard I bet. Just pitch it to him early and often. Give Davis some reps.

Let's see if we can make adjustments and find some clutch scoring going forward.
