Yes.....we asked him to do too much. What other NBFL rushing champion got asked to block with the o-line? To that extent?

We wasted him. What a dam shame. And fans bag the holy living crap out of him in appreciation.

I know...I'm aware....it's a "what have you done for me lately" league.
They didn't waste him. If anything they used the hell out of him to the point he is what he is today. They ran him into the ground which was the purpose.

Wear and tear. Zeke had over 500 carries after becoming the main guy in college and that was just in two seasons, he came into his rookie season in the NFL and got 322 carries, he then had 242 carries in 10 games in 2017. Zeke was effectively ran into the ground.

At one pint, zeke looked fast again. The. When Steele went out, he looked slower. We really need him to be fresh abd fast in the playoffs: he’s stronger abd tougher. We’ll need that to make it to the superbowl.
so does the run blocking and play calls..

Watching the blocking and play calling is painful.
:hammer:100 saw pollard also have what 4 games under 3 YPC..team game, units need to flow together and that does come and go for all teams.. Jags had 5 TOS last night got down 27 and won, give me hope we can overcome anything as well.

The games where Zeke shows some juice get further between all the time, and it probably only looks like juice in comparison to his undeniably juiceless games.
Running backs can run. It's what they do. They look like they have a bit more juice than other players on the field because they do.
McFadden came here as a washed up RB and had a better season than Zeke has had since at least 2019.
And then was washed up again the next year.
The juice comes and goes. It's some health, some circumstances of who we're playing against, how well the oline is blocking, and how well the RB matches his running to the blocking. A horrible game doesn't mean a RB is completely done, a good game doesn't mean they're back. It's the long term trend of bad games to good games.

Yeah that's why I never wanted the Cowboys to pay him.
He had to come back in his hold out year if he wanted to earn a league year and become a vested vet.
We should have made no deals, waited for him to come back, and traded his fifth year before the next season. No hard feelings. Just business.

He is faster this year it seems by a half step.
But he never has recaptured the burst off the ball he had in 2016. Honestly I'd go Pollard/Davis 90%
Zeke needs to be on the sidelines, smoking a cigarette for most of the game unless it’s a very short yardage play for a first down or at the goal line.

- It wasn't the " holdout " that did it .... it wasn' the new re-sgned big contract he held out for ...

- It wasn't the 6 games suspension that he had to serve that contributed to the decline either ...

- It's something that happened to him " Physically" that caused his decline - not mentally, .not effortlessy not emotionally .

- It was what the Garrett regime decided to do with him after the 2017 season.

" They Bulked him .... They beat him up " .... they flat exposed him to excessive amount of wear and tear pounding that flat took it's toll on a permanent basis.
Carries.... Receiving .... Bltiz blocking ...it adds up - . and to make matters much worse, they could flat Not trust the very mediocre useless backup Rod Smith
They felt they could not avoid to take Zeke out of the game.

- This is a guy that will only be 28 years of age next July...

- Some here seem want to use the contract hold out to make it personal vent vs Zeke.

Fir a few games he looked as fast as 2018. I did notice a guy hitting his knee a few weeks ago.he’s still tough and powerful. he’s not slow. We just need more initial burst.

Zeke will be gone after this year. Dude is washed up as a primary back. Give Pollard a contract and send Zeke walking. Promote Davis.
You think Tony has proven himself as a "primary back"?

He has SURELY proven himself as a #2....and fill in #1.

Didn't he get winded.....filling in as #1?

When Tonyt has to run Zeke's up the middle plays he sucks as much. It's there for you to see if you want to see the truth.

And Kellen has never asked Tony to block as much as he demands zeke does. That I don't get but whatever.

Why do you hate Zeke so much and inflate Tony so much? Weird dude. Really weird.

Also hasn't had the blocking he had in 2016 either. I think he still runs like he has that line but them days are gone.
I still love zeke. I think he’s beat up because if a declining line. He’s taking most of the guys abd it allows pollard to stay fresh. If the line was better, he get hit more by d bs abd linebackers i stead of d ends abd linebackers.
